Internship Placement and Completion Process• Meeting with Dr. Bonds by Wednesday, May 13th
• Complete interests, skills, and work values assessments at MyCareerShines.org before meeting• Create a resume draft before meeting• Be prepared to discuss career and Internship interests and timeline for Internship as well as
resume draft and assessments• Timeline Options: Summer | Fall | Spring
• Business Partner Contact• Dr. Bonds works with prospective business partners to find placements• When a business partner has agreed to host a specific Intern, Dr. Bonds will send an email
message via RiverMail to the Intern with contact information• Intern will contact assigned business partner to schedule meeting/interview
• Internship Procedures• Accounts in Online Internship Tracking System• Internship Agreement• Weekly Time Cards • Intern Evaluation

• Explore information about colleges and financial aid options• Learn about majors and degree program requirements for Florida’s universities

Business Partner Placement Requirements• Cleveland Clinic Martin Health
• Student Orientation Packet: Clinical or Non-Clinical• Online Student Mandatory Education (SME) and assessment• Negative tuberculosis test administered within the previous 12 months• Flu shot for the current year• Current CPR Certification• Proof of health insurance coverage• Proof of current immunizations, provided by Dr. Bonds from FOCUS
• Law Enforcement, Court System, Education, Martin County• Application• Background check• Fingerprinting• Coursework

Student Responsibilities• During Internship Placement Process
• Complete online career surveys and resume draft • Schedule a time to meet with Dr. Bonds by May 13th to discuss Internship
plans, results from online career surveys, and resume draft• Work with Dr. Bonds to create final resume that is sent to prospective
Business Partners• Check RiverMail regularly • Contact assigned business partner as soon as possible• Create account in MyInternshipJournal online Internship tracking system• Submit all hours and online paperwork in a timely manner
• During the Internship• Maintain a professional image throughout the Internship• Take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Internship• Track hours and submit paperwork through MyInternshipJournal system

MyInternshipJournal is an online journal & time-tracker specifically designed for tracking Internship hours.• Interns log experiences and Supervisors approve logs.• Paperwork is completed in the system – saving trees!
• A portfolio of the Internship is created and maintained for future access by Interns.
