Quantum Leaps brings together young women in Grades 10, 11 and 12 with local women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers. Participants will learn more about the variety of career choices in the STEM field, and will be exposed to careers which they may never have realized existed. The event also highlights the importance of continuing STEM curses in secondary and postsecondary schools to ensure a wide range of career opportunities for female students. We rely on educators and parents to help us spread the word about this fun and interactive event. We encourage you to copy and distribute this brochure to your students, friends and daughters. NSIS is a nonprofit organization that aims to advance and promote innovation and the application of science and technology for the benefit of Northwes BC. NSIS provides programming, events and resources for students, educators, businesses and communiies. The UNBC Bachelor of Integrated Science Program exists in response to the increasing need for expertise in environmental research, management, recovery and conservation of natural resources in the northwest. The program integrates the biological and physical environments with resource management and provides students with the technical skills necessary for an environmental career. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 UNBC Terrace Campus Our mission is to encourage young women to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers. Our ultimate goal is to motivate girls to become innovative and creative thinkers ready to meet 21 st century challenges.

Information  about  Quantum  Leaps…
