Infosys, a global leader in tech & consulting, wanted to hire America’s most powerful graduate programmers. So we set up a series of hackathons to demonstrate the world-changing impact of a career on their elite graduate scheme.

Infosys face a serious challenge in the US, where they have been forced to pivot from a global delivery model to a model of localized hiring. This shift is problematic because of limited prior investment in a US-bespoke employer brand, intense competition for US tech talent, and the tech skills shortage in the region (627,000 US tech jobs are currently unfilled).
Traditional recruitment agencies were unable to secure offers from the candidates Infosys required, so Infosys turned to Social to mitigate these problems and asked us to provide an end-to-end marketing and event hiring piece.

SOCIAL TARGETING
We built world-changing creative for Facebook and Instagram ads, targeting and signing up the exact Computer Science graduates Infosys wanted to hire.

Agency, independence and impact: all were key motivators for the US graduate programming talent pool, so we put choice at the heart of the campaign. Candidates were able to pick one of five world-changing themes to hack: Climate Change, Social Justice, Mental Health, Future of Work and Student Debt.
POWER TO THE CANDIDATE

We set up an online community on Slack for the top 80 candidates. They could meet their fellow hackers, plan their project, and get help from Infosys reps ahead of the hackathon.
