●Infrastructure contributing to the promotion of tourism will be clarified, and policy proposals with six sectors of scenarios will be implemented.●Cross-functionally organizing the vertical expansion of each industry with the viewpoint of tourism.●Present with lucidity the importance of the comprehensive strength of infrastructure for the purpose and goals of the promotion of tourism.●Promotion of infrastructure development with a new viewpoint of the fusion of tourism and infrastructure.●Realization of high quality infrastructure development not only for tourists but also for the people in Okinawa.

Development of Tourism Resources

●Bridges to remote islands not only improve convenience in transportation, but also serves as a hub for tourism due to its beautiful scenery.●Dams with the purpose not only for irrigation and flood control, but by making use of its facilities and dam ponds tourism hubs have also been formed. With its six dams, it also promotes “Northern Okinawa Dam Tourism”.● Okinawa Commemorative National Government Park attracts 6.87 million tourists a year, making it the centerpiece for tourism in Okinawa.

Development of Transportation Networks

accommodate the increasing demands for cruises and cruise ships have become of great importance. (Multiple numbers of cruise ship berths will be required.)

●In accordance to the boost in demand for air transportation, works have been started to increase runways and are aimed to be putinto service by March 2020. With two runways, flights are still possible even when troubles occur. (Risk avoidance)

●To achieve understanding by not only tourists but also the general public, for the development of infrastructure contributing to tourism in Okinawa, information cards for infrastructure facilities are handed out.
