Implementation•Conditioning and facilitation Camp – 2 – 6 August 2010 – HPC•Personal preparation with Franchise coach and /or Consultants – August and September 2010•SA”A” tour to Sri Lanka – Selection processThis tour was important to identify young talent in sub continent conditions with specific positions in mind. This was achieved.•Conditioning Camp – 30 August to 5 September 2010 – GeorgeThe aim was to build a sustainable fitness base in every individual , as this was identified as a crucial part of our World Cup year. Fitness in extreme heat conditions is vital in terms of playing strategy and injury prevention.
•Team cultural identity Camp 4 & 5 October 2010Development of team culture and identity during a two day workshop where all possible stakeholders contributed and decided on the way forward.A Strong sense of what it means to play for the Protea was developed during this camp.•Skills, facilitation and conditioning Camp 3 - 15 October 2010 – BloemfonteinUse of specialist coaches to enhance the specific skills needed for season ahead with emphasis on sub continent conditions . Assessing and improving fitness levels for the season ahead.•Zimbabwe Series – 15 to 22 October 2010Implementation of strategies and skills as preparation for Pakistan series and experimentation of player combinations .•Pakistan Series – 24 October to 8 November 2010.Playing in sub continent conditions and assessing performance with the view of finalising World Cup squad.•Indian One day series - Focus on team confidence and settled combinations and strategies.•Final facilitation Camp - Two days before we leave for India•Pre World Cup Camp in India
