Fiberglass inground pools come ready-made in one piece. They are preformed and prefinished and installation is usually quite fast. You typically need fewer chemicals for fiberglass pools because algae have trouble growing on the smooth surface.

It is true that inground pools can cost a lot more than above ground pools, but they also last longer and create a look that above ground pools can’t match. You also have options with depth when it comes to inground pools.

As for property value, an inground pool can go either way. Since it is a permanent fixture in your yard, any prospective buyers will determine if it’s a good investment or not. It may lead to you having trouble selling the house, or you may sell it faster and for more because it is there.
