In innovation, new product features: • new value to customer, • by reducing costs, • improvement over the competition, • contibutes to the ultimate customer satisfaction,

and • increase sales through the adoption of new

technologies or processes.

• creativity is the ability to vision and to-do things in new or different way than the old, and the ability to create new ideas. The idea as a result of creativity, must have economic value to be considered as innovation.

• The biggest risk associated with innovation is not to innovate. If the company doesn’t have innovations, it allows competition to shape the future, and thus the market will no longer be interested in old products. Because of this, we can say that sometimes innovations have great challenges, but the risks of non-innovating are much higher.

Many negative sentences, innovator can hear:• This already exists!• We’re working on this was for years, why should

we change it now?• This is not a problem!• This will not work in practice!• Who will buy this?• Such an idea has not yet been possible to

realize, maybe for about ten years...• We don’t have time to do it!• Not in our area!• We are too small for it!

„key persons“ inside organization for reaching innovative culture:

• Creating persons – there are for sure many people inside org. That have new ideas, they are the engine of innovation

• Inventor – finds new inventions• Innovator – use new ideas for realization of new market

products• Entrepreneur – find the way for new ideas to market• Local „Hero“ (Innovation manager) – provides fertile

ground for new ideas• Financier – ensures the stability of the system

The most important factors for success of innovation process:

• submitting of ideas is simple• fast idea evaluation• Ideas are often reviewed because of possible

new business opportunities• Ideas are welcomed• Innovators become “celebrities” and their

success is propagated• Inovation process is measurable• „gently“ reject the idea

Towards innovation attitude, people can be divided into 3 groups:• those who creates innovations, • those who supports innovations and • those who „kill“ innovations.We should take away criticism from 'Innovation killers‘, or convert it to constuctive critique, and then move them to one first to groups.

12 things that innovator must not forget

1. write down your ideas! Every idea must be written, otherwise it will quiclky evaporate. At first “blitz” you need to write it and then expand it with all details that comes to your mind, later you can analyse it and drop unnecessary parts. Writ down your ideas in order to painlessly move to the next idea.

2. don’t be affraid to submit your ideaIf your company have established innovation process, ideas should be submitted in needed form. If there are no inov. Process you n+must inform yourself how to present your ideas and then realize it.

3. read, search...Inform yourself each day with news from interesting fields.

4. talk with creative people

Talk about your ideas

5. don’t let that failure discourage you

In the world of innovations, failures are not rare.

6. Innovation attitude is important!

You must be convienced in your idea and push it

7. does your idea have a buyer? Is there a possible buyer(customer) of your idea? The answer is essential for the future of your idea.

8. is your idea new?Is there a similar product already on the market?

9. is your idea technicaly feasible?Could you make a prototype? Could it be done inside our company, and is it simple and requires a special financing?

10. expense – benefitCompare this two values. Is it profitable to make improvement/innovation?

11. make good “marketing” for your ideaIt’s important to have a good presentation of your idea.

12. sales channelDo you have an idea how(where) will you, or your company place this idea?
