} Hybrid solutions for Swedish home owner market
} Windforce Airbuzz Holding AB sells wind/solar hybrid solutions to private individuals, thus offering products that compete with the Dali PowerTower. The most recent annual report presents a turnover of 1.2 MSEK for the 2013 financial year. Windforce uses conventional steel towers for the wind turbine in combination with rooftop solar installation. The InnoVentum competitive advantages are: } Wooden tower uses renewable material that captures CO2. } The tower structural properties and flexibility of wood reduce vibrations. } One common structure for both solar and wind power instead of tower+roof. } InnoVentum has an global sales presence which is required to reach
profitable sales volumes. } Dali wooden tower is patent protected which ensures a unique product
offering that cannot be copied.
} Wind turbines for ecofarms } WindEn AB manufactures and sells wind turbines with environmentally
conscious farms being the intended market. The energy delivery of their model is higher (60.000 kWh/year) than the Dalifant (40.000 kWh/year), but they only offer steel towers.
} Our first two Dalifant customers both selected our product based on the wooden tower and more silent operation than WindEn.
BUSINESS SWEDEN 5 OCTOBER 2015 14
COMPETITORS – DALI POWERTOWER & DALIFANT
} Wooden car port for European/global market
} BMW has announced the launch of a solar powered car port made from bamboo, carbon fibre and solar panels. The solar capacity is 3.6 kWp which results in an annual energy production of approximately 25% that of the InnoVentum Giraffe 2.0 (3600 kWh vs. 14400 kWh). Price to customer is approximately 50% of the Giraffe 2.0 giving the BMW carport twice the energy cost.
} We have not found any competing hybrid car ports (combining wind and solar) so far.
BUSINESS SWEDEN 5 OCTOBER 2015 15
COMPETITORS – GIRAFFE 2.0
} ADB contract awarded and signed: “Supply of Wind Turbines with Controller and Inverter for the Eluvaithivu Wind-Solar Hybrid Pilot Subproject, Sri Lanka” within a project “TA 7485-REG: Effective Development of Distributed Small Wind Systems in Asian Rural Areas”. The first confirmed contract in excess of $100 000 (US) as pilot to qualify for additional contracts: Total value of the pilot project for this group of islands is in excess of $3.8 million (US). Total ADB budget for RE in Sri Lanka is in excess of $100 million (US).
} InnoVentum is invited to bid for the “Development of Long Term Agreements (LTA) for Renewable Energy Products and Appliances”. This is the second stage in the collaboration process with UNDP after InnoVentum was selected among multiple candidates in the process of bidding for the “Request for Information (RFI), Solar and wind energy solutions for UNDP Offices, programmes and projects (UNDP/PSO Ref. 600180)”. In case of success, InnoVentum will be granted a long-term agreement for the procurement of our products (in particular, small-scale wind turbines) for all suitable projects within UNDP without the need to participate in lengthy and cumbersome public procurement process. On average, UNDP buys approximately $3 billion (US) worth of goods and services every year.
} The UNDP spec for wind turbines was recently adopted to “should be modular and possible to install without heavy equipment – ideally using a winch” = full conformity with the PowerTower
} In addition to ADB and UNDP projects, for 2015 InnoVentum has already acquired 3 Dalifant projects, 2 rooftop solar projects and one rooftop wind turbine project being installed in summer 2015 with total value in excess of 3 million SEK (355 000 US$)

} I: Close to endless need for decentralised power production
} The affordability segment counting more than 1.6 billion people without power is growing. Within 18 months of business-development activities towards the two single largest purchasing organisations of decentralised power solutions – ADB and UNDP, we have obtained a first pilot-order by ADB for 6 windturbines. During the same time-period, UNDP adopted their specifications to require modular solutions that can be erected without a crane – ideally using a winch – just like our patented Dali tower. Consequently, UNDP invited InnoVentum to submit proposals for Long Term Agreements (LTAs)
} II: Patent-protected core technology with close to endless scalability
} Our tower-technology, including modularity, self-erecting mechanism, typhoon-resilience and silence of operation, is patent-protected.
} Straight conversion from CAD designs to CNC manufacturing can be handled by a large number of glue laminate manufacturers around the world – assessed by our Chief Engineer for Wood Design, Lucas Gabrys. A dozen partners have already confirmed compatibility with our requirements. Our partners cover Europe, Japan, China, the Philippines and the US.
} Modularity also reduces installation-time – as seen in the one-minute video on a Giraffe-installation: http://www.innoventum.se/giraffe-2-0/
} III: Increasing demand for beautiful and intelligent design – ideally using sustainable materials
} Building a competitive advantage through design that is both beautiful and smart is a good start. Adding the benefits of hybrid solutions combines the best of two worlds. Using renewable and recycled materials in intelligent and resource-efficient solutions is imperative to our survival on this Planet.

G: CEO’S REFLECTIONS ON THE BUSINESS POTENTIAL …
} IV: Develop a small team with large potential through Networks and Partnerships
} Our Team is small, but has large potential through professional networks. For example, our CTO Julien Daligault is already in close contact the a local installation team in Sri Lanka that will support our delivery of the ADB order. He formerly worked within the UN and has a wide network. The manuals he prepares can be used by similar installation teams across the globe. All our scalability clients and prospects like ADB, UNDP and Ericsson apply this model of providing local installation teams and we develop pedagogical installation and maintenance guides for all four products.
} Our CIO Marcus Ulmefors handles online monitoring of our products so that we are in control no matter where the products are operating. For an example, see http://giraffe.forskningsdata.se/
} For Giraffe installations in Asia, our partner in Hong Kong has connected us to an installation partner with pan-Asian footprint having both skilled installation crew and equipment in the main-nodes we focus on.
} V: Extending our Team through the Web and Licensing
} Sales processes towards ADB and most bodies within the United Nations are web-assisted. It takes time and professional lobbying to qualify into these systems, but now we have. Ala Kazlova and Julien monitor these platforms. We also get automatic notifications by email monitored by Jacky Parkhouse who also handles project administration that we will web-enable as well (CRM).
} To capture the vast B2C potential, we are developing an online sales platform to be supported by CRM } We have been selected as superuser of the world’s leading CAD solution by Autodesk. Manufacturing
happens through the Web (CNC). } For areas we cannot reach with reasonable effort, licensing is the natural way to capture revenue. With
the recently awarded patents related both to our Dali Tower and the Giraffe, this can open up revenue streams supporting self-driven growth.
