Program Details Our program is a year-round paid internship consisng of a 12-week summer component from May-August and an average of one out of every four weekends throughout the academic year. This longitudinal experience will span over three years, with summer blocks occurring aſter P1/P2 and P2/P3 coursework are completed. The 12-week summer experience includes required rotaons in central pharmacy operaons, sterile and non -sterile compounding, drug informaon, and clinical rotaons including internal medicine, cardiology, emergency medicine and crical care with elecves in other clinical areas based on preceptor availability. Addionally, each intern will be assigned projects and/or presentaons at the discreon of his or her primary preceptor. The internship start and end dates will be customized based on departmental needs and each intern’s final exam schedule.

Eligibility

Each candidate must be in the process of finishing their first professional year of pharmacy school. Candidates further in their professional career will not be considered as the internship program spans over three years. Only fully completed applications will be reviewed. Offers will be made contingent on the applicant obtaining an Ohio internship license and the ability to work weekends throughout the academic year. Entry into this internship program is competitive and students will be evaluated on various parameters including career goals, prior experience, communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic team atmosphere. Candidates should be available for a 30 minute phone or Skype interview in December.
