In 1904, Gus Mears acquired an athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football stadium. An offer to lease it to the nearby Fulham was turned down. Mears opted to start his own club to use the stadium & thus a new club was born on 10 March 1905 at “THE RISING SUN PUB”. The club took their first European honour in 1971 with a win over Real Madrid in Athens. In 2013, IFFHS ranked it the best club in the world replacing Barcelona. Identify this famous football club.

The word “X" is an anglicized version of the Scandinavian Blåtand, the epithet of the tenth-century king Harald I of Denmark and parts of Norway who united dissonant Danish tribes into a single kingdom. The idea of this name was proposed in 1997 by Jim Kardach. Its logo is a bind rune merging the Younger Futhark runes (Hagall) and (Bjarkan)
