WelcomeThe past year has brought many tremendous blessings to Grace Brethren Schools, and it is because of events like this auction that we continue to prevail as one of the finest Christian Schools in Southern California. In a year where many businesses suffered, and where many schools shut down, Grace has thrived. We have done so ultimately as a result of God’s unconditional love for us and for what we do here. But we have also thrived because parents like you entrust your children to us on a daily basis and believe in what we stand for. This event could not be possible without your support. In this spirit, I thank you for your presence here tonight as being here represents a significant part of the many blessings we enjoy here at Grace.

Tonight’s proceeds will be utilized to fund a new Media Center. At the high school, this represents an exciting opportunity to bring our students some of the most cutting edge technology available. At Grace, we prepare students for places of influence in the world, and what better way to help us towards this goal than to provide them with the technological skills necessary to interact with the demands of the 21st century. Be mindful of the fact that whatever you spend this evening will directly impact our students and will be utilized in full to better our educational environment. No bureaucracy, no union, and no district will earmark any portion of what you give for “special projects.”

I especially want to thank the group of parents who made this evening happen. The time put in to make this the success it is comes at a tremendous sacrifice to many of our already busy families. Yet, they selflessly make it happen because they believe in who we are and what we do in the lives of young people. Welcome to the 4th Annual Dinner Gala and Auction of Grace Brethren Schools! It is my pleasure to share this special evening with you. Thank you for your continued support of Grace Brethren Schools and for this event tonight. I believe the outcome of this evening will benefit our school for years to come.

I would like to acknowledge and thank the Auction Committee responsible for the Gala. Words cannot express the appreciation I have for the individuals who selflessly give of their time and talent to improve our school. Every year I am impressed by the results of their hard work and inspired by their Spirit filled hearts. It is such a blessing to work along side you and together bestow the glory to God.

The importance of this Dinner Gala and Auction is made evident by the outcome of the past events. Previously, the auction proceeds have been used to assist school families financially with tuition and to upgrade the campuses with an electronic communication system. This year’s proceeds are designated to create media centers for both the elementary and junior/senior high campuses. It is our belief that these media centers will enrich student learning and enable GBS to utilize current technology.
