Kuhinja je uvijek bila važan dio doma, ali u posljednjih nekoliko godi-na, ovaj prostor postaje izuzetno interesantan. Osim osnovne namje-ne, pripreme hrane, u kuhinji se sve češće objeduje na šanku, druži i provodi slobodno vrijeme. Sve veći broj kulinarskih emisija populari-zira različite načine pripreme hrane, a za maksimalnu učinkovitost, tu je niz najmodernijih kuhinjskih uređaja.Savremena kuhinja je direktno povezana sa dnevnim boravkom, što ima velike sociološke prednosti.

Kitchen has always been the essential part of the home, but during the last few years, that space has become exceptionally interesting. Besides its basic purpose, food preparation, the kitchen is more fre-quently being used for eating at the bar counter, for getting together and spending leisure time. The increasing number of culinary shows popularises different food preparation methods and, for the maxi-mum efficiency, there is a line of most contemporary kitchen appli-ances. Contemporary kitchen is directly linked to the living room area and that has major sociological advantages.

Prirodan izgled i ekologija su najizražanjiji trend ove sezone u svijetu kuhinja. To znači da struktura drveta, prirodnog ili u imitaciji mora biti prisutna na frontama, radnim pločama ili korpusima kuhinje. Ukoliko se odlučite za dominaciju drveta u kuhinji, svakako uvedite detalje u bojanom staklu ili lakiranom MDF-u u mat verziji. Uvođenjem detalja u drugim materijalima naglasit ćete ljepotu drveta i izbjeći monotoni-ju samo jednog materijala.

Modern kitchen cannot be conceived without a bar counter, an island or a dining table that are integrated in the kitchen. It has to be visually dominant – extended towards the living room area and functional on the countertop. Natural look and ecology are this season’s most prominent trends in the world of kitchens. It means that the wood texture, whether natural or faux, must be present in the kitchen fronts, countertops or cabinets. Ove kuhinje su uglavnom izvedene od bojenog medijapana (MDF-a) jer univer je vrlo teško ovako saviti. Iako teže i skuplje za izvođenje, kuhinje bez oštirh ivica su vrlo popu-larne i tražene. Kombinacijom umjetnih i prirodnih materijala, te pa-letom prirodnih boja od žarkih, pa sve do neutralnih tonova možete kombinirati i dobiti kuhinju baš kakvu ste zamislili.Boje koje su trenutni hit u modernim kuhinjama možete naći od žarkih pa sve do neutralnih tonova. Najčešće boje koje su trenutno zastupljene pri izboru kuhinja su crvena, narandžasta, tirkizna, sma-ragdno zelena, crna, srebrna, krem i bijela. Dvije do četiri ove boje se najčešće kombiniraju, bilo da se radi o boji zidova, bilo o frontama kuhinjskih elemenata ili podu.
