What is INSIGHT?The project “Individualized Training in Acquiring New Skills and Raising Employment Competences” is executed within the framework of Lifelong Learning Programme, funded by the European Union. The main aim of the project is to provide integrated support tailored to the needs of the most disadvantaged groups of unemployed in the context of global economic crisis. The project will develop an innovative integrated training tool in order to increase motivation and self- awareness, create incentives for acquiring the new skills demanded on the labour market, improve job competencies and thus promote efficient reintegration of jobseekers into employment.

Target groups &BeneficiariesThe target groups of the project are:

Jobseekers under 25 years; Jobseekers over 45 years; Migrants and migrants children; People facing different socioeco-

nomic disadvantages; Social workers in Labour agencies; Trainers of unemployed people.

Why is the projectnecessary?The global economy is in the midst ofthe worst financial and economic crisisof the past 50 years, leaving millions ofunemployed people. Most affected bythe consequences of the crisis remainthe already disadvantaged groups in thelabour market – youth, older workers,migrants, who face complex problems toreintegration to employment,predominantly linked with lack of self-confidence and motivation; insufficientor too specific qualification; lack of jobsearching skills, interview andapplication skills. These problems areinterrelated and require a holisticapproach to be effectively resolved.

What is to happen during the project?Within the project execution in each partner countries there will be organised:

Focus groups with potential beneficiaries and stakeholders from the sectors Social work, Administration and Business services;

Research of the top 10 skills in the sectors Social work, Administration and Business services;

Development of INSIGHT kit with Handbook for unemployed and Guide for trainers of unemployed;

Pilot course for testing of the developed INSIGHT innovative tool - Handbook for Unemployed and Guide for Trainers of Unemployed;

Conduction of evaluation workshops with training participants and stakeholders after the end of the training course;

Issue of certificates of the participants in the test courses, who have successfully completed the training course;

Valorisation campaign.

Expected outcomesWithin the frameworks of the project there will bedeveloped the INSIGHT kit. It will include:

Handbook for Unemployed Guide for Trainers of Unemployed Interactive website Interactive practical exercises Interactive tools for self-assessment Forum DVD with electronic versions of the Handbook

and Guide Promotional materials

The entire INSIGHT innovative tool will be available online on:www.insight-training.eu
