“I attached you a photo with Al and I in the Philip-

pines.

I attended the Insight seminar last week and it was

great to have this training to help me to be an ABC

thinker. However, after I came back to HK, I found

that it is easy to go back to the old thinking habit.

We need to encour-

each other to prac-

Corson’s Concepts cont.

I am always amazed by people who refuse to acknowledge God

as creator. That thought came to me again as I beheld the beauty

of His creation while traveling to the latest IRI seminar held in a

remote village south of Manila in the Philippines. I started the

trip with some excitement and eager anticipation, mixed with a

little fear and dread at the thought of twenty six and a half hours

of airline flight and layovers.

Al and Jason had preceded me by several days as they had

flown into Hong Kong to meet with Ken Smyth, our host for

this trip. I was to meet them in Manila the day after my arrival,

then journey to the home of Marie Panti where the seminar would be held. Her village, on the

shores of Taal Lake in the mountainous region of Cuenca , is accessible only by boat. It was on the

boat ride, tired and ready to arrive at our final destination that a quiet peace came over me and I

realized the simple beauty of this place screamed out the evidence of God. Roman 1: 20-21 came

immediately to my mind. (For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-His eternal

power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being

understood from what has been made, so that men are

without excuse. For although they knew God, they nei-

ther glorified Him as God, nor gave thanks to Him, but

their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were

darkened).

The seminar started on Sunday afternoon, March 24th and

continued through the week. Those participating were all

church leaders from various countries around Southeast

Asia. Four young men came from Myanmar, three of

whom are professors at Christian seminaries in their

country. Six attended from Hong Kong and five from

various parts of the Philippines.

The sessions were informative, to say the least, and discussions were lively. It was a very good

group and all learned much about how their world view affected their thinking process. The icing

on the cake came after the initial seminar presentations when Al began a series of coaching exercis-

es on Saturday, March 30th, ending on Wednesday April 3rd. It was during these exercises that the

concepts introduced during the initial seminar were put into practice. It was an eye opening experi-

ence! To see these people take scripture from an intellectual/emotional experience to one of truly

understanding the concepts behind the scripture was overwhelmingly evident and had a great im-

pact on them and me. I saw and heard these men and women realize that their roles as teachers and

leaders in their churches would never be the same. Many expressed their belief that the seminar and

coaching exercises truly allowed them to begin transforming their minds as Romans 12:2 teaches.

(And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you

will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will.) No longer

was scripture seen as something just to read, teach and obey. They came to realize that transfor-

mation comes only through understanding the concepts behind the scripture and that with transfor-

mation comes a stronger relationship with God and others. Relationship truly had meaning and took

on much greater significance.

Please join us in praying for these men and women as

they begin to lead their churches, teaching them to

transform their lives. Also please continue to pray for

IRI as God opens doors for us in Myanmar, Hong Kong

and the Philippines. Plans are already being made to

travel to Myanmar in the fall of 2014.

INSIGHT RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL(IRI) IN

MOZAMBIQUE The president of IRI and Leonard Chiteshi of Mozambique brain-

storming on the Biblical Worldview. Everyone has a worldview no

matter who you are and where you come from. A North American, a

South American, a European, an Australian, an Asian or an African

has a distinctive worldview. A worldview is your orientation to the

World, which is your perspective, the viewpoint or the angle from which you view the world.

The word of God is the authority in determining what is true or wrong. Our understanding of

the world is defined by God´s revelation of what is real or true.

As a result of a change in the worldview panorama Leonard is tak-

ing control of his environment by capacitating Linah Mutimbairi

from Zimbabwe in a small town called Chimoio, Mozambique. She

is currently working at the IRI office and at the same time learning

computers for her betterment as well as the betterment of Africa.

Leonard is also helping Linah to believe that the best development

is the change in attitude and determination. She is not only trans-

forming her conceptual thinking, she is also improving her standard of living.

Insight Resources International purpose is to teach people “HOW

TO THINK”, not to tell them, “WHAT TO THINK”. “HOW TO

THINK” is Biblical and it the first of its kind the world over. Leon-

ard (out of the picture, he is the photographer) is coaching Pastors

Paulino Sozinho (left) and Taona Saizi on promoting social

growth, economic and discipling of communities. Leonard is also

promoting seminars which will empower all levels of human re-

sources for the better management of their environment for sustain-

ability and development of their country. Leonard visits Pastors

churches both in urban and rural and has realized that the two pastors are also changing the

world view of many people in their churches.

This is Wiz Luís the guard. It is the norm in Mozambique to employ

a guard in every household or you risk being robbed. Besides guard-

ing during the night Wiz helps to clean the yard before he breaks at

6:30 am. The neighborhood has changed significantly ever since IRI

moved to its present location. God gave man authority to take control

of his environment thus when IRI took over the office at the end of

January 2013, improved the standard of hygiene in and outside of its yard. Consequently the

neighbors started maintain their respective yards too. IRI in Mozambique is making good

things happen!

The IRI-Mozambique has its headquarters in the neighborhood of

the suburb 1 in the city of Chimoio, Manica province. We are al-

ready decentralizing to different parts of Mozambique. Leonard lives

in this house and there is a big room to hold Insight Seminars and for

coaching. The building stand majestically above a small stream in

the neighborhood and the constant east-west whiff of air provides a

salubrious ambience. The roof seems to be touching the blue sky and

Leonard calls the IRI headquarters a Little Heaven!
