•Non-degree program for mid-career professionals in Thai government and private organizations (currently employed by national, local or regional government units or universities or by private sector organizations with assurances of re-employment upon return)
•One year of non-degree study and practical work-related experience in the U.S. institutions
Financial provision:
Monthly maintenance allowance (US$1,300-1,900), book and supplies allowance, tuition and fees, round-trip international travel to host institution and special domestic travel to Washington D.C. for a special seminar, field trips, and conference fees

•Thai citizen in good health
•28-5828-58 years of age
•Have at least B (3.00) of undergraduate or good academic record of graduate level, if possessing a degree from the U.S., should have returned to Thailand for at least 7 years after the receipt of the degree
•Be in Thailand at the time of interview
•Have an outstanding record of professional accomplishments and leadership qualities
•Have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in public service, in public or private sector organizations and agencies (an applicant should be in policy rather than research and technically oriented)

Eligibility of Applicants
• Thai citizen in good health ( not holding two country visas )
• Physically present in Thailand at the time of interview
• have a doctorate degree in academic background with strong knowledge of English
• have at least 10 years of professional experiences at the university level (excluding period of study)
• be able to take leave from his/her home institution
• preferably not have had extensive experience in the U.S. during the previous 3 years
•be willing and able to serve as a resource person in the U.S.

• Monthly stipend (US$2,500 - 2,900)

Aim to develop the capabilities of Thai university staff members to gain 6 months of research experience in the U.S. as part of their doctoral dissertation requirements

5 grants under Thailand Research Fund (TRF) –
full financial support (not university lecturers)

Demonstrate strong academic performance at the graduate level
Have appropriate background to undertake the proposal they have outlined
Have the concurrence of the university Ph.D. program in which he/she is enrolled
