Introduction

Aims of the session:

To talk openly about the opportunities available to girls in STEM subjects and careers, as well as the values and opinions in our society which make it harder for girls to fulfil their potential in science, technology and mathematics.

Today we will cover:• Stereotypes in our society• One approach from the EU commission• Discussion about prejudiced comments• Importance of role models• Learn about careers in STEM• Share resources you can use in the classroom
