POWER COMMANDER V INPUT ACCESSORY GUIDE
Map - (Input1or2)ThePCVhastheabilitytohold2differentbasemaps.YoucanswitchontheflybetweenthesetwobasemapswhenyouhookupaswitchtoinputYoucanuseanyopen/closetypeswitch.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.WhenusingtheAutotunekitonepositionwillholdabasemapandtheotherpositionwillletyouactivatethelearningmode.Whentheswitchis“CLOSED”Autotunewillbeactivated.
Shifter- (Input1or2)InsertthewiresfromtheDynojetquickshifterintotheeitherinput.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.
Speed- Ifyourapplicationhasaspeedsensorthenyoucantapintothesignalsideofthesensorandrunawireintothisinput.ThiswillallowyoutocalculategearpositionintheControlCenterSoftware.Oncegearpositionissetupyoucanalteryourmapbasedongearpositionandsetupgeardependentkilltimeswhenusingaquickshifter.
Analog- Thisinputisfora0-5vsignalsuchasenginetemp,boost,etc.Oncethisinputisestablishedyoucanalteryourfuelcurvebasedonthisinputinthecontrolcentersoftware.
Crank- DoNOTconnectanythingtothisportunlessinstructedtodosobyDynojet.Itisusedtotransfercranktriggerdatafromonemoduletoanother.
ACCESSORY INPUTS
Wire connections:
ToinputwiresintothePCVfirstremovetherubberplugonthebacksideoftheunitandloosenthescrewforthecorrespondinginput.Usinga22-24gaugewirestripabout10mmfromitsend.PushthewireintotheholeofthePCVuntilisstopsandthentightenthescrew.Makesuretoreinstalltherubberplug.
NOTE:Ifyoutinthewireswithsolderitwillmakeinsertingthemeasier.

1 Removethesidepanelsdirectlybelowtheseatonbothsidesofthebike.
2 Removetherearenginecoversonbothsides.
3 Removethepassengergriphandlesonbothsidesoftheseat.
4 Removetheseat(Fig.A).
5 Removetheupperdashpanelthathasthespeakergrills(Fig.B).
6 Removebothofthelongthinplasticpanelsontheouteredgesofthelowerdashpanel.

16 Use2ofthesuppliedVelcrostripstosecurethePCVmoduleontopoftheleftairscoop(Fig.L).
Clean the surface with the supplied alcohol swab prior to applying the Velcro.
17 RoutethePCVharnessbranchwithunterminatedwirestowardstheBLACKconnectorofthebike’sECM.

The PCV GREY wire goes to the stock LIGHT GREEN wire on the BLACK ECM connector.
The PCV WHITE/BROWN wire goes to the stock YELLOW wire on the BLACK ECM connector.
The PCV BROWN/WHITE wire goes to the stock WHITE/YELLOW wire on the BLACK ECM connector.

This is a hard plastic CAN port plug supplied in the kit. This is a crucial step that is often overlooked.

Route the cable beneath the ECM and reverse gear servo.

This is located on the left side of the frame.
30 PlugthesuppliedO2Optimizer(withmalepins)intothestockwiringharnessinplaceofthestockO2sensor(Fig.T).
The stock O2 sensor will no longer be used. It can be removed from the exhaust, if desired and if you have a way to plug the hole.
31 Reassemblethebike.
Note: The modules will be difficult to access after the bodywork is reinstalled. The glove compartments on both sides would need to be removed to access the modules. You can leave the usb cables connected to the modules and routed to the inside of the glove compartments, if you prefer.
