1. How to use this installation manual
This manual listed various methods for Narada Ares(OPzV) series battery, including model
4OPzV200, 6OPzV300, 6OPzV400, 7OPzV500, 6OPzV600, 8OPzV800, 10OPzV1000,
12OPzV1200, 12OPzV1500, 16OPzV2000, 20OPzV2500、24OPzV3000. Please refer to this
manual when you are choosing, installing and maintaining NARADA Ares(OPzV) series battery.
The information in this manual is for reference only, that the actual condition maybe difference,
subject to the real products.
2. Principal to choose the installation methods
1) Installation area: A passageway for maintenance and inspection should be reserved during
installation;
2) Floor bearing ability: Choose appropriate installation method according to floor weight
bearing ability;
3) Outlet: Two optional methods ① outlet from one side ② outlet from two sides;
4) Monitoring is according to customer requirements.
3. Installation procedure and cautions during installation
3.1 Preparation
1) Tools: two 13~17mm open wrenches or plum wrenches; 13mm, 14mm, 17mm box
wrenches; 6mm and 8mm inner hexagon spanner; one digital millimeter, electric impact
drill, etc.
Notes: All the batteries are fully charged before ex-factory. Please wind insulated tape
on the tools before put into use prevent battery from short.
2) Installation workers (or engineering team) should confirm details with the user about
installation method, bearing ability, etc. and decide best installation location.
3) The distance between each battery is suggested to more than 10mm. Guarantee the heat
dissipation.
3.2 Installation Procedure
1) Installation workers (or engineering team) check the batteries to assure no damage
after unpacking, check accessories against packing list to assure completeness. Sign the
packing list and send it back. Take good care of installation drawings, installation manual
and other documents, which are sent in the accessory case. Keep the documents in file
after installation is completed.
2) Please check whether installation place is appropriate according to drawings. To
check whether passageway for maintenance is reserved; whether the distance is above 0.5
meters between the battery and heat source or any place that may cause sparkles. Please
suggest the user to make modifications if the condition is not suitable. A memorandum
should be kept after modification.

3) Please make the installation according to installation drawing and installation
manual strictly, and assemble the rack according to Chapter 5 of installation manual and
to connect batteries according to Chapter 6 installation drawing of installation manual.
Any neglect is forbidden.
4) Please ensure the post is clean before installing connectors. Please check one by one
whether screws are tight after installation. Please set a person specially assigned and in
charge of this job to ensure that all screws are tight. (The reference torque is approx. 12~15
N.m).
5) Please assemble strap according to related content of installation manual.
6) Please check and record open voltage of each battery and total voltage of battery
group after installation. Please fill in the Installation Records Form (or other similar
form).
7) Please do not connect the battery to switch power or microwave equipment if
electricity is not connected. Please recharge the battery before put into use according to
operation manual, or it will do great harm to battery.
8) Please check the parameters set on switch power before connecting the battery and
switch power to ensure all data are correct. (Please refer to the table for parameter on
switch power).
9) Please fill in related forms after installation and debugging, check and record battery
conditions. Also check the screw to ensure a reliable installation. Measure and record
float voltage of each cell and measure the rise of temperature of each connecting point
and ask the user to sign and confirm the records.
3.3 Declare
NARADA series battery won’t cause harm to person and the environment when normal used;
but some wrong operations or because of damage, etc. the hydrogen, acid mist, electrolyte
leakage, etc. dangerous situation may happen.

5.2 Rack Installation
1) Because of the big difference between the voltage classes chosen by different
manufacturers, but the voltage class in this manual is 48V, so the corresponding battery
installation layers shown as 4.4. The norm rack shown as below for customers to choose,
which is removable and can be divided into side frame, beams, fixation strip, etc.
2) We choose 50 square connecting strip for the capacity 300Ah or less, and 70 square
connecting strip for capacity more than 300Ah according to common connected system.
3) Rack installation procedure is as below(two layers as example):
① Put the beams of the first layer on the side frame bottom after the two side frames be
placed certain distance, then the beams be fastened to the side frames by bolt(contain
plain washers and spring washers).

② Put the beams of the second layer on the second floor of side frame then the beams be
fastened to the side frames by bolt(contain plain washers and spring washers).
③ Put the batteries on the beams in course after all the bolts screwed, then fasten the top
and front beams to the side frames by bolts in order to keep the batteries in.
5.3 Outlet Terminal and Connector Assembly
1) Outlet terminal installation
According to installation drawing, fix terminal on iron tray side. Please fix strap fastness
(plastic) on terminal fastness, then fix strap in given position based on eduction of battery
terminal. Connector and strap should be tightened completely and make sure it has been
installed in correct position. Sheet cooper of eduction should be fully tangented and
tightened to strap plane to ensure large electricity discharge (Torque =15N.m for reference).
Connect user cable follow the instruction of Chapter 3. Please check all the nuts and
assembly part, install terminal protector according to drawing. (Re: Following drawing is
for strap of 200~600Ah which can be the reference for other type).

2) Connector installation
According to installation drawing, please do series-parallel connection to cell battery with
2V to achieve system voltage requirement. Outlet position of positive plate and negative
plate can be arranged based on user’s situation. Red end of connect should be connected
with positive plate, blue end be connected with negative plate. The connecting mode has
soft connector and cooper sheet connecting. Use one-off corrugated washer for nut and
check if it is tightened (Torque 12~15N.m for reference) then cover anode with red
connector cover and cathode with blue cover.
3) Install monitoring connector
Please take monitoring connector out of covert slot of plastic head if soft connector is
implicated and then connect it with system monitor cable follow the instruction drawing.
Please connect user’s monitor cable directly on monitor screw displayed by drawing.
