Drilling or modification to the actual gearshilter itsetf is NOTrequired; the kitsare c€mplete bolt ons. INSTALLANON 1) lf you are usinga B&MPro Stickshifter, the blue plunger e)dension mustbe installed on the tip of the air cylinder. use the two supplied set screws to attachthe ertension.The plunger extension is not usedon Hurs't shifters. 2) Remove the existing mounting boltsthat holdthe shifter downto the floor and slidethe AS2 mounting bracket underneath the shifter unit. Thereare two setsof mounting holes(onefor Hurstand one lor B&M); use the hotes that atign the air ram with the center ol the shitt lever handle.Replace the holddown bolts ancltighten.The A$2 mounting biacket wiil be sandwiched belween the shifter andthe lloorboard. 3) Connect a 114' QQZ supply lineto the solenoid qulck connest flttingby pushing the line in t0 the fltting untllit bottoms out. tf you need to remove the air line,pullon the llnewhile pushing in on the black lockring. 4') Open lhe CO2bottle and setthe bottle regulator pressure from 60 to 100psi. 5) Wire the air shifter as shown in the appropriate diagram on the reverse side. AT'JUSTMENT The stroke of the air shifier'G ram is set with shimslocated between the brassair ram and the shifter mounting bracket. The plunger should enend and shiftthe transmission. Make surethat the shifter is all the way into highgear;thencheck for clearance between the air ram plunger and the shiftlever. lf thereis more than 1/16 inch, then remove one of the sfiimwashers tromthe air ramand reiest. Remove the second shimwasher if needsd. MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS SOME CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE RAM AND THE SHIFTLEVERWHENTHE SHIFTER lS lN HIGH GEAR AND THEAIR RAM PLUNGER lS EXTENDED. lf not, theair shifter witl be damaged. INSTALLANON

1) lf you are using a B&M Pro Stick shifter, the blue plunger e)dension must be installed on the tip of the air cylinder. use thetwo supplied set screws to attach the ertension. The plunger extension is not used on Hurs't shifters.

2) Remove the existing mounting bolts that hold the shifter down to the floor and slide the AS2 mounting bracket underneaththe shifter unit. There are two sets of mounting holes (one for Hurst and one lor B&M); use the hotes that atign the air ramwith the center ol the shitt lever handle. Replace the holddown bolts ancl tighten. The A$2 mounting biacket wiil besandwiched belween the shifter and the lloorboard.

3) Connect a 114' QQZ supply line to the solenoid qulck connest fltting by pushing the line in t0 the fltting untll it bottoms out. tfyou need to remove the air line, pullon the llne while pushing in on the black lock ring.

4') Open lhe CO2 bottle and set the bottle regulator pressure from 60 to 100 psi.

5) Wire the air shifter as shown in the appropriate diagram on the reverse side.

AT'JUSTMENT

The stroke of the air shifier'G ram is set with shims located between the brass air ram and the shifter mounting bracket. Tocheck and adjust th€ stroke of the plunger, follow this procedure:

Wltlt !l'.e gqrlg glg!!]g NOT running, put the shifi lever into low gear. lf using a Dedenbear RPM-2 switch press and hotd the'MANUAL UPSHIFI* bufion on the RPM switch. lf using a ditferent manutacturer's RPM switch or a shiti timer, bypass thecontroller to make the shifter activate. The plunger should enend and shift the transmission. Make sure that the shifter is allthe way into high gear;then check for clearance between the air ram plunger and the shift lever. lf there is more than 1/16inch, then remove one of the sfiim washers trom the air ram and reiest. Remove the second shim washer if needsd.

MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS SOME CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE RAM AND THE SHIFT LEVER WHEN THESHIFTER lS lN HIGH GEAR AND THE AIR RAM PLUNGER lS EXTENDED. lf not, the air shifter witl be damaged.
