Installing MySabre on Windows Vista

4. Installing the Java Runtime Environment and MySabre These steps will walk the installer through the installation of the MySabre emulator including the Java Runtime Environment. Due to the additional security of Windows Vista, there are additional manual steps required to complete the installation of MySabre. Note: If you plan to install Sabre Desktop Reservation software including the Sabre Printing Module, Sabre Cruise Director, TA Sharing (supports Sabre Cruise Director and Client Base +) return to section 3.

4a. Installing MySabre without Sabre Desktop Reservation applications Note: If you have previously installed Sabre Desktop Reservation applications including the Sabre Printing Module, Sabre Cruise Director, or TA Sharing as outlined in section 3 – Go to section 4b. Note: The current web based MySabre installation is unable to complete the installation of MySabre and “mark” the workstation as MySabre compliant. Typically the MySabre installation will step the installer through various steps to ensure that the workstation meets the MySabre requirements. Since you are installing MySabre on Windows Vista, the workstation obviously meets the MySabre requirements and the first part of these steps will be performed to “mark” the workstation as MySabre compliant. Caution: It is not normally recommended that installers or agents modify the registry and care should be taken when performing these steps.

1. Click on Start and type REGEDIT in the Start Search box. Press Enter

2. Click Continue

3. The Registry Editor window will appear
