Installing R on your laptop

Please install R on your laptop before the SAMSI undergraduate workshop.

1. Visit “https://www.r-project.org”.

2. On the left hand side, click “CRAN” under the item “Download”; See Figure 1.

3. Choose the closest server on the list; see Figure 2. (Duke University is closest toSAMSI.)

4. Choose the OS you are using to download R; see Figure 3.

5. For Mac users, click “R-3.3.1.pkg” to start downloading; see Figure 4. For Win-dow users, click “base” and then “Download R 3.3.1 for Windows”.
