Preliminary Remark

5he 7ini SAP /asis System is shipped as t2o 'Ds. 5he (irst 'D contains the (iles (or the kernel and$rontend #SAP !"I%. 5he second 'D contains the compressed contents o( the SAP database.

Installation o( the components o( the SAP System is a t2o;step procedure. 5he (irst step is to installthe application server and database system6 including database data. 5he second step is to install theSAP !"I #$rontend%. 5he latter is only required i( still no SAP !"I Release &.+D is installed on yourP'.
