OBJECTIVE: Requests information on daily activities related to the use of ICT through previously prepared information questions (WH questions).

1 Read carefully the following information and then I resolve the questionnaire arising out.

THE COMPUTER is composed of hardware that is classified according to where they are:

EXTERNAL PARTS

MONITOR: it is an output device that, through an interface, shows the results of the processing of a computer. The concept of monitor was first defined by Charles Antony Richard Hoare in an article of the year 1974.

MOUSE: is an input peripheral of the electronic computer, usually made of plastic, used as input or data control. It is used with one of the user's hands and detects their relative movement in two dimensions by the horizontal surface on which it rests, usually reflecting itself through a pointer or arrow on the monitor.

KEYBOARD: is a peripheral or device that consists of a key system, such as a typewriter, that allows entering data to a computer or digital device. The keyboards are composed by different types of keys that are: the alphanumeric keys, the keys of punctuation and the special keys.

CPU: Central processing unit, this is the most important part since it is the brain of the computer, inside it are performed all tasks commanded by the user, it consists of specific internal parts that will be explained later.

SPEAKERS: the speakers are used to listen to the sounds of the computer, to listen to music or sounds of errors, etc.

PRINTERS: it is a computer peripheral that allows to produce a permanent copy of texts or graphics of documents stored in electronic format, printing on paper of luster the data in physical means, usually in paper or transparencies, using cartridges of ink or laser technology.

MICROPHONE: Electronic apparatus to capture sound waves and transform them into electrical oscillations

SCANNER: is a peripheral that is used to convert, through the use of light, images or any other form to digital format.

INTERNAL PARTS

POWER SOURCE: The power supply is a very important accessory in any computer because it stores the energy of the equipment and in case of light goes, it allows you to save the documents and turn off the computer without the loss of information.

MICROPROCESSOR: also called a processor or CPU (Central Processing Unit), is the brain of a computer. It is responsible for taking the information it receives from different sources, carrying out the necessary processes to that information and sending the result to the destination that was indicated.

MEMORIES: is the place where the computer stores the programs and the data that it is using. There are two types of memories: RAM MEMORY (Random Access Memory). It is integrated by one or more chips and is used as working memory where we can save or delete our programs and data. AND ROM MEMORY (Read Only Memory) consists of a chip that has a series of programs and data essential for the operation of the computer: autostart system, basic hardware control, and diagnostics.

HARD DISK: is a non-volatile storage device, that is to say, it conserves the information that has been stored correctly even with the loss of energy, uses a digital magnetic recording system, it is where in most cases it is stored the operating system of the computer.

VIDEO CARD: is an expansion card for a computer, responsible for processing data from the CPU and transform it into understandable and representable information on an output device, such as a monitor or television.

SOUND CARD: is an expansion card for computers that allows the input and output of audio under the control of a computer program called driver.

FANS: it is a fan that is in the processor that allows to cool the components in the motherboard.

INTERNET

It is worth noting that it is not bad to browse social networks and interact with your friends, but we must exploit the multiple options that the Internet offers us.

The name Internet comes from the English words Interconnected Networks, which means "interconnected networks". Internet is the union of all the networks and computers distributed all over the world, so it could be defined as a global network in which all the networks that use TCP / IP protocols and are compatible with each other.

In this "network of networks" as it is also known, computers of all kinds, from large systems to personal models. In the network, there are official, governmental, educational, scientific and business institutions that make information available to millions of people.

Internet was the result of an experiment of the Department of Defense of the United States, in 1969 that materialized in the development of ARPAnet, a network that linked universities and centers of high technology with contractors of that department. It was aimed at exchanging data between scientists and the military. The network was joined by nodes from Europe and the rest of the world, forming what is known as the World Wide Web. In 1990 ARPAnet ceased to exist.

However, the Internet is not just the World Wide Web, this is one of the many services offered on the Internet, although it is perhaps the most novel and attractive; Also known as Web or www, in it we can combine texts (through hypertext documents), sounds, images and animations, thanks to the links that from their documents establish with other documents or files (URL) found in The Internet.

Other services include exchanging or transferring files (FTP), remote access to other computers (Telnet), reading and interpreting files from other computers (Gopher), exchanging e-mail, discussion groups , Online conversations (IRC or chat), access to discussion forums and newsgroups (news), among others.

Currently used more than others is the http, which allows to manage multimedia content, its translation is a hypertext transfer protocol that forms the basis of the collection of information distributed by the World Wide Web.

The Internet has become an important tool in our society because it allows us to communicate, search and transfer information eliminating the barriers of time and space, and without technological or

relative economic requirements. Today, there are more than billions of computers connected to this network and that number will continue to increase.

IMPORTANCE OF ICTS IN SOCIETY

Within the new social and economic framework in which we are currently immersed, ie a neoliberal and globalized economy that covers all areas of society, information technologies play a prominent role, which have their effects, among others Aspects of education and culture.

ICT is increasingly important in social relations and in the educational and cultural levels of our time. This is evidenced by the inclusion of ICTs, especially the Internet, in schools, libraries, museums, etc. However, the use of ICTs in the educational framework has not been maximized.

For this reason, one of the most important challenges of this society is to create educational policies that make it possible to take advantage of all available technological resources and to integrate ICTs into educational and learning processes. All this with the purpose of carrying out an educational activity that allows to adapt to the new and rapid changes that the current society entails.

Finally, ICT in the field of education will not only promote students' learning but will also serve to apply them in the future as over the years ICT have become more important in society.

SOCIAL NETWORKS

At present, social networks play a very important role in society. More and more people are hooked to this online phenomenon.

These social networks have become popular in such a way that in many groups of friend’s things such as hang-ups and other matters are made exclusively through them. However the main reasons people get hooked on a social network are meeting people and exchanging photos. In Spain Facebook and Tuenti are the most popular, but there are also others like twitter, flickr, blogger, etc.

I have to say that I am one of those "hooked" to social networks, but I am careful with the things I put in them since they carry a great danger.

People create an account in these social networks and many do not know that with this they are entering their personal data in the network, and many of them do it without reading the conditions of use and the privacy policy. This is very dangerous because nobody guarantees that our data is safe in their systems nor does anyone guarantee that we can eliminate them completely.
