Enlargement of the corpus:

In the coming years, the Biblindex database should include the remaining Biblia Patristica archives, Cyril of Alexandria at first, and then all biblical indexes of editions published in the Sources Chrétiennes series. This already very broad corpus (at present 540 volumes) of Greek, Latin and Syriac writers extends to the Middle Ages, including e.g. Bernard of Clairvaux.

The ultimate goal of this site is to permit the identification of biblical quotations in all Jewish and Christian literature of Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages.

Functional enhancements:• better ergonomics, to make the interface

more convenient and user-friendly and to offer more options for sorting results;

• choice of the biblical version, either the Septuagint or the Vulgate, no longer just Jerusalem Bible; display of the biblical text;

• a collaborative platform, so that each user can have the opportunity to contribute.

Biblindex is supported by the French Institut des Sources Chrétiennes, a CNRS research team in patristics affiliated to Lyon II University, with the collaboration of the Peshitta Institute of Leiden and a wide-ranging network of French and foreign contributors.

You can donate to Biblindex online, http://www.biblindex.org

Donations are made to AASC (Association des Amis de Sources Chrétiennes).
