The IfE at WWU offers study programmes in Education at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels, with Teacher Education among the central focuses of our Institute. IfE-WWU is one of the largest scientific institutions of this kind in Germany and with 21 full-time professorships and more than 120 academic staff members, it offers a wide variety of research and learning opportunities. Alongside a broad range of lectures and seminars, IfE-WWU offers several courses taught in English each term in order to broaden our course offerings for international students. An overview of these courses is available on our website at http://www. uni-muenster.de/EW/studium/incoming.html.

WWU Münster is one of Germany’s largest and most traditional universities. Founded in 1780, the university’s 15 academic departments offer some 250 degree pro-grammes to around 42,000 students, including around 3,200 international students.

WWU Münster has a long tradition of international cooperation and attracts students and academics from across the globe, who contribute to a vivid international atmosphere.

As Westphalia’s historic regional centre, the city of Münster combines a long history with a modern, vibrant student life. The historic city of the Peace of Westphalia spearheads Germany’s Climate Protection today; Münster was granted the LivCom-Award, which labeled it the most livable city in the world in the category of cities with a population between 200,000 and 750,000. With its ca. 50,000 students, Münster is a great place to spend an ERASMUS+ semester.
