With over 1000 scientists publishing in top scientific papers, elaborating
new technologies
Ochota Biocentre is one of the largest research centres in Poland.
National Contact Point
National Contact Point for Research Programs of the EU(NCP in Poland) is the
National Contact Point for the Horizon 2020, EURATOM-Fission, Innovative
Medicines Initiative 2 and the coordinator of the EURAXESS network in Poland.
Supports of Polish researches in applying for EU grants.
Our organization coordinates the Network of National Contact Point, which
comprises of NCP in Poland and 11 Regional Contact Points located in the biggest
academic centers. The NCP in Poland is a part of the European Network of
National Contact Points for Horizon 2020.
European Virtual Institute KMM-VIN AISBL
The KMM-VIN (European Virtual Institute on Knowledge-based Multifunctional
Materials AISBL) offers professional investigations of advanced materials (metals,
ceramics, polymers, and their combinations) designed for enhanced performance
in complex loading and environmental conditions.
The main KMM-VIN activities and professional services are dedicated to
TRANSPORT, ENERGY and HEALTH industries.
KMM-VIN consists of 70+ members having combined expertise in materials
processing, characterization, testing and modeling.
HEALTH ENERGY TRANSPORT
Post-Graduate School
The Institute also attributes great importance to educating research
personnel.

Activity, Collaboration• The Mission of the Institute is to conduct high quality theoretical and experimental research both of a
fundamental as well as of applicable character in the areas which are the focus of the world's science andtechnology.
• Their realization takes place within the framework of extensive cooperation with leading research andindustry centers in Poland and in the world (USA, Japan, France, Germany, UK, China, Israel and manyothers). This has resulted in many joint projects, research, exchange of scientists and publications inprestigious journals.
• There are modern experimental Laboratories with advanced equipment in the Institute.
The research which are recently developed in the Institute are:Advanced Problems in Modern Mechanics, Material Engineering
• Multifunctional and Multicomponent Materials,
• Materials science for constructions,
• Nan-Materials and Nano-Fluids,
• Application of Intelligent Technology in Engineering - Smart Materials,
• Applied Information and Computational Sciences
Engineering and Mathematical Methods in Medicine and Biology
• Bioinformatics,
• Application of Ultrasounds in Medicine, Diagnostics and Therapy
• Nan-Technology, Nano-Bio-Technology
• Within the period of 2013-2016 about 40 percent (170 papers) of papers from the prestige JCR list of authors from IPPT (433) were published under collaboration with coauthors from foreign institutions
(44 centres).
