INSTITUTIONAL PRESENTATION
Martiplast
was founded in 1993, in Caxias do Sul (RS), in
southern Brazil. The history of the company
started in a small basement with a little bit more
than 40m² and only with one plastic injection
machine, which turned the dreams of the
brothers Nelson and Juarez, and their cousin
Nelmir into something much bigger.
After two years of company, what started as a
problem has become a great opportunity: the
payment of an ancient client with a coffee cup
injection mold made a good quality product
became an aggressive sales system. Following
years of planning and management, the business
has been consolidated.
Today that modest basement grown and turned
into headquarters with 20.000m², of those
12.000m² are production and inventory, besides
having around 12.000 products displayed in its
showroom.
Our day-to-day life offer us millions of possibilities
every time and we perceive that as a great
opportunity. After all, life would be really boring if
was not this way.
In 2007, the brand Ou (meaning “or” in Portuguese)
was released as a reference in plastic houseware
with design, providing freedom of choice of a more
relaxed life.
In 2013, Martiplast expanded its market share with
the acquisition of the brand Yoi, which is focused
on the import of high-quality household appliances
in porcelain, ceramics, glass, bamboo and other
materials.

MARTIPLAST GROUPwas created in 2013 with the acquisition of
the importer company Yoi, when Martiplast
was already with 20 years of experience on the
household utilities market.
Therefore, the brands Ou and Yoi form one of
the most representative groups of houseware in
Brazil.
Altogether, more than 230 professionals drive
the businesses growth every day, with ability and
expertise.

We are a company audited by Bureau Veritas in compliance with
the standards and certifications.
Besides that, the group has a distribution center and a branch of
Yoi in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
