Training documentation!

� The training shall be provided by the supplier!

� The implementation and participation in this training must be documented in the form HF 0110 as indicated in the image.

� The instructed person must confirm with his signature that the content of this document has been explained in a personal interview.

� The signature confirms the understanding of the contents and the willingness to comply with the necessary accident prevention measures.

� The original signed protocol must be submitted in the personnel office. In addition to this, the employee must always carry a copy at Hettich's premises and present it on request. The validity of the document is limited to the current calendar year.

Regulations

German Occupational Safety and Health Act“If employees of multiple employers are working at one workplace, then the employers are obliged… to work together….and to coordinate measures to prevent such hazards.”

GUV-V A 1“If employees of several employers or self-employed individual entrepreneurs are working at one workplace, then the entrepreneurs must collaborate with regard to the safety and health of workers.

Particularly, they shall appoint a person to coordinate the work if it is necessary to avoid possible mutual risks. The said person shall be granted the authority to issue instructions in order to prevent particular hazards.”

Admission regulations

� Admission to the company premises is possible only with permission and for the first time, only through the reception. The persons associated with the work are given access authorisation .

� The access is provided in the form of an ID card; there is a separate one for visitors or service partners.

� The access card is a personal document. It must be worn visibly on the body. It is not allowed to use the ID card for giving access to other people .

� No outsiders or unauthorised persons shall be allowed to enter the premises.

� The ID card must be handed over at the reception after completion of the work every day .

Factory traffic

� Entry only by prior registration

� The road traffic regulations apply

� The speed limit (10 km/h) must be observed.

� Parking Restrictions for access, escape and emergency routes must be observed.

� Load securing is always required.

� Safeguarding of one's own place of work against public or other means of transport must always be ensured.

� Parking is only permitted in parking areas that have been marked.

The entry permit can be withdrawn in case of gross violations of the rules of traffic regulations.

Security service

� The security staff is responsible for the security of the building.

� It checks the company premises at night, on the weekends and on holidays.

� It is authorised to give instructions in case of breach of the rules applicable.

The instructions of the security staff must be strictly followed!

Accesses and entrances

� Main entrances are equipped with access terminals, which can be opened using the service partner card.

� There is a intercom system on the entrance secured by a sliding door . This can be used after registration at the reception and on receipt of a service partner / or a visitor pass.

� No parking in front of access roads, exits, emergency exits and marked areas!

Non-smoking and smoking zones

� Smoking is strictly prohibited at the Hettich premises in Berlin.

� Smoking is only allowed in the smoking zones.

Escape and emergency routes

� In case of fire and evacuation , the signalling devices of the fire alarm system (horns/flashlights) activate an alarm. Following this everyone has to leave the building using the shortest route and assemble at the nearest fire assembly point.

� Only at the assembly point can it be determined whether all the colleagues present have left the building. This result must then be communicated to the responsible personnel from the fire brigade by the person in charge.

� Escape route maps are hung near the entrance in each building. The respective location is indicated on these maps.

� Doors and gates must not be blocked or otherwise prevented from closing.

Ladders, scaffolding and lifting platforms

� Only use appropriate scaffolding, lifting platforms or ladders for the respective work – consider the limitations of use .

� Ensure stability – Mounting on a sustainable, even surface, protected against slipping or sinking.

� Observe the permissible load carrying capacity.

� Ensure intact safety barriers.

� Secure areas adjacent or below the workplace (warning, blocking, indication).

� Follow the manufacturer's instructions forinstallation, use and operation .

� Enter the scaffolding only after approval –scaffold marking.

� Do not allow unauthorised entry!

Protection against risk of falling

Devices which prevent a person from falling (safety barriers)must be available in accordance with DGUV regulatio n 38:

� For a vertical drop of more than 1.00 m, on – exposed flights of stairs and stair landings,– wall openings,– control platforms of machines and their accesses;

� For a vertical drop of more than 2.00 m at all other workplaces and transport routes;

� For a vertical drop of more than 3.00 m onwork places on the roofs;

� For a vertical drop of more than 5.00 m, while laying bricks above hand level and while working on the windows.

Personal protective equipment against fallshall be made available by the supplierand the staff shall be trained for the correct usebefore starting the work.

Permission for operating lifting platforms

� In addition to the operating licence, a written permission (HF 10022) is required for operating lifting platforms on the factory premises.

� This can be given by the customer against presentation of the licence for operating lifting platforms and the order (HF 10021) which has been issued by the supplier.

� The device specific instructions and a briefing on operating conditions are carried out by the lender of the lifting platforms.

� The rules and instructions of the lender listed on the order must be observed.

Lifting platforms and transport routes

� Take prior permission before using the lifting platforms of the customer.

� Transport order from the customer is required for this purpose.

� Take extra care while installing on or near transport routes and workstations.

� Only use work equipment for which

- An order has been issued and

- Instructions have been provided.

� Do not use the equipment for anything other than its intended use!

� Always keep protective and emergency devices in working condition.

� Only use equipments which fulfil the safety requirements and function properly.

� Repair or replace the defective equipment.

� E-devices shall be tested according to BGV A3.

� Movable cables must be made up of rubber sheath of the type H07RN-F or at least have a similar design.

Movable circuit protection devices

� Electric hand tools and machines must always be operated with a protective switch (PRCD-S).

� The PRCD-S detects all possible defects in the fixed installation and does not switch on in the event of fault.

� The intact protective conductor functions are tested before switch-on and monitored during operation. This increases the protection level against dangerous body currents.

� A low voltage circuit breakers prevents the self-resetting after voltage recovery.

Movable circuit protection devices shall be provided by the supplier. The customer does not provide any rental option.

Prohibitions

� Alcohol and drugs are prohibited

� Access for areas, which are not related to the work of the external company is prohibited

� Film and photography is prohibited

� There shall not be any obstructions in the path of safety devices, fire detection and rescue equipments as well as escapeand emergency routes

� Any behaviour detrimental to safety is prohibited (Violation of UVV, PSA not used)

Violations of the prohibitions may lead to removal from the premises.

Prohibitions applicable to one‘s own employees are also valid for the employees of external companies:

Noise

� It is mandatory to wear hearing protectors in all production areas of the location! Personal protective equipment is available in the form of earplugs.

� Earplug dispensing devices are mounted at prominent locations in the halls, mainly at the entrances.

� Ear protection plugs must be worn sufficiently deep in the ear canal in order to achieve sufficient insulation effect!

Wear earplugs! It‘s about your health! Hearing defects cannot be cured!

Doors, gates, footpaths

� The pedestrians should use the doors.

� Gates are exclusively reserved for industrial trucks and transport vehicles.

� Drive ways and footpaths often coincide in the hall areas and factory premises. Pay special attention here.

� Poorly visible junctions and intersections are equipped with a panoramic mirror or revolving signal lights.

Permission to drive industrial trucks

� In addition to the driver’s license, a written permission (HF 3507) is required for driving transport trucks (forklift trucks) on the factory premises.

� The customer can give this permission when presented with the forklift licence and the order (HF 3506) by the supplier.

� The device specific instructions and a briefing on operating conditions are carried out by the lender of the industrial trucks.

� The rules and instructions of the lender listed on the order must be observed.

Fire safety

Please note that inhalation of fire smoke und gases could lead to death faster than actual burning in the flames.

� Be informed about the escape and emergency routes in advance.

� Do not enter areas with high risk of fire with open flame.

� The amount of inflammable liquids stored at workplace should not exceed a day’s requirement.

� Remove inflammable objects or liquids from the working area.

� Provide suitable extinguishing media for fire fighting.

� Arrange for fire fighters.

Welding and cutting work� A welding permit is compulsory and must

be obtained by the concerned department before starting the work.

� It should be possible to obtain information through smoke detectors and sprinkler systems and to unlock the area when necessary.

� Danger zones must be blocked.

� Adequate ventilation must be ensured.

� Inflammable objects or liquids must be removed.

� Objects should be covered when removing is not possible.

� Fire extinguisher must be kept ready.

� Welding workstations must be separated by means of protective boards .

� Electrical cables must be protectedagainst mechanical damage.

� Arrange for fireguards .Lack of care in welding work always leads to serious fires with devastating consequences.

Drilling, mounting, demolition work

� Work shall be carried out only by authorised persons.

� Drilling and demolition work is only permitted if it is approved by the Head of Technical Services.

� Drilling on load-bearing elements or components is prohibited or permitted only if it is approved by the Head of Technical Services.

� The work area must be clearly marked and secured against unauthorised entry.

Environmental hazard

� Care should be taken that substances hazardous to water do not flow into the ground/soil or groundwater or drainage system at the factory premises.

� For any questions regarding the disposal of hazardous substances , the guidelines are to be observed. Environment coordinator,

� Environmental emergency kits along with channel covers and oil binders must be available at the storage locations of hazardous materials (loading roads) and used as required.

� Any hazard must be reported at the internal telephone number 237.

Waste disposal

� As the waste generating agent, the external company shall dispose all waste, residual materials and assembly materials strictly on its own responsibility.

� Waste management representative on site can be consulted, if necessary (Tel. 030 72093-237)

� The fulfilment of this obligation must be proven if required. (transport authorisation, declaration of acceptance and proof of disposal).

� The use of collection containers at the site can be agreed upon.

� Strict separation of waste and observance of the requirements at the site must be ensured.

If disposal of waste is not done properly by an external company, the parent company will charge it for disposing the waste by other means.

Roofing work

� Take protective measures against slipping and falling as well as against the falling of construction materials & tools outside a nd inside.

� Take fire protection measures while working with flames

- Keep fire extinguisher ready at the workplace

- Arrange for fire guards.

� Obtain the information on accessibility and load-bearing capacity of the roof from the Head of Technical Services.

� Entrance to the roof area and roofing work is only permitted after the approval by the Head of Technical Services.

Civil engineering works

� Before starting work, get information about the location of and safe distances to be maintained from buried pipelines and define the procedure accordingly;Obtain the work permission from the Head of Technic al Services.

� Use search trenches or locating devices for searching the pipelines.

� Secure pits and trench walls ; keep the protective strips (0.6 m) free of load.

� Secure the danger zones against earth-moving machinery and do not enter these.

� Clearly mark the pipe route and observe safe distances.

� Follow the sequence of actionsin the event of danger (device out ofdanger zone, warning third parties, releasing pipelines).

� Do not conceal, move or remove any signsor other markings without the prior consentof the parent company.

Working in crane areas

� Working on cranes and in crane travel area must be approved by the manager of relevant department.

� Do not stay under suspended load!

� Cranes shall be operated only by trained and authorised employees .

� Pay attention to the risk of crushing while working in the crane area.

� It is mandatory to switch off the main switch during maintenance work and display the sign “Do not switch on! Maintenance work in progress”.

Working in areas exposed to explosion hazards

� Access only to authorised persons.

� Always ventilate workplaces well; open ignition sources, open light and smoking are prohibited.

� Start and end of work must be communicated with the person responsible for the machines.

� Low sparking or explosion-proof equipments must be used.

� If a spark is expected, an EX-measuring instrument can be used for monitoring.

� If the explosion protection is lifted while working in Zone 1 or 2, an employee must be present during the entire period for supervision.

Personal protective equipment

� Each supplier shall provide his employees with personal protective equipments necessary for carrying out the activities.

� Wearing protective shoes is a must!

� Anyone who violates the law may be dismissed from the factory premises following a warning.

Working in the electroplating area

� Access only for specially instructed persons

� Start and end of work must be communicated to the shift manager and the status of work and resulting hazards must be informed.

� Extra care must be taken while handling hazardous substances.(Toxic, corrosive and environmentally hazardous substances are in use!)

� Valves must be opened and closed only after prior approval.

� Piping can be removed only after appropriate consultation.

• Rinse the affected eye with water for at least 10 minutes

• Keep the eye open with both the hands (spread the eyelids)

• Wash the eye with an eye shower
