Instructions 1. Each week aim to do at least one activity from each core subject: Maths, English, Biology and Citizenship. 2. Then choose at least one activity from each option subject that you would like to do for GCSE. 3. Each subject will have a choice of three activities:

something that doesn’t need a computer

something that does need a computer

space for you to decide your own activity as well or instead of the above

You should try to do at least one activity, but you can do two or three. 4. Tick off the activities you do and add any work to the folder. Lined and plain paper is provided for you. If you do have a computer and a printer, you can also print work out. 5. Each week when your teacher contacts you, you can ask them any questions or tell them which activities you’ve been able to do. 6. At the end of the folder there are two extra pages.

a list of other websites you can access learning on

a list of help and support lines

Draw your object using LINE only (a 2-minute drawing). On the same page, use your opposite hand to your dominant writing hand. Draw your object using LINE and TONE (a 5min drawing). Next from a different angle draw your object- but do not take your pencil off the paper, use a CONTINUOUS LINE. Make a note by each drawing saying which technique you used and how long it took. Finally, draw your mug as realistically as possible. Capture the correct size and shape of your object by applying line and tonal shading.

Find out the definition of a Still Life. Read it, copy it onto a word document or PowerPoint, and change the wording to your own. Fill an A4 page with different images of ‘Still Life’ that you like. List between 5 and 10 artists who have painted Still Life through art history.
