1. Sign on to the KRONOS system. Your default view will be the Timekeeping TAB, ‘Reconcile Timecard’ listing for ‘All Home with Hours’ and the default Time Period will be ‘Yesterday’.

2. Make sure you can see all your employees.

3. Select Actions, select All. Click the timecard link.

Reconcile TimecardWith an employee’s timecard visible, make the necessary daily/ weekly corrections. If the correction involves a full day, make the edit in the employees’ schedule.

All employees need to be assigned a specific work schedule/pattern/shift. Select the Scheduling tab. Click Schedule Editor. Check to make sure your employees have a schedule/pattern/shift.

Daily/Weekly Timecard Approval for

Hourly employeesPlease complete the following items upon completion of all timecard edits:

1. Navigate to Timekeeping TAB, Select “Pay Period Close“. The "Show" should display "All Home with Hours" and the Time Period should display “Yesterday” for daily approvals or “Previous Pay Period” for weekly approvals. Review your employees' ‘Combined Hours’ column to make sure each employee has a minimum of 8 hours for daily confirmation or minimum of 40 hours for weekly confirmation.

Hourly employees2. FINAL STEP: Select ‘Actions’ from the task bar and ‘Select ALL’. This will highlight

all employees listed. Select ‘Approvals’ from the taskbar and select ‘Approve’. This will approve their timecards for the time period chosen. (yesterday(daily) or previous pay period (weekly). Verification procedure follows:

7. To verify that all employee timecards have been approved, navigate to the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Group Edit Results’. The group approval will be listed. On the right side of the screen, it will display the ‘status’ of the group approval. Status should display either ‘processing’ or ‘completed’. Once the action has completed processing, the status will display COMPLETED.

8. Navigate to ‘Timekeeping’ TAB to see your approval results.

4. Select ‘Pay Period Close’. The ‘Manager Approval’ column should now display a ‘1’ for each employee, indicating that each employee’s timecard has been approved.

Note: If the Manager approval column does not show ‘1’, you will need to select the ‘Refresh’ button to the right of the Time Period. This will refresh the data. Note: If there are any employees that still do not display a ‘1’, highlight and repeat the above steps for timecard approval.

5. Timecards have now been approved for the selected time period (yesterday or previous pay period).

Policy Overview - Hourly Overtime is calculated over 40 accumulated hours per pay week.

Hourly pay week is Monday – Sunday and payment is in arrears. Example: Work week is Jan 6 – Jan 12th, (Mon – Sun) Paycheck is received for this period

on Jan 17th (following Fri).

All paid time is included the calculation for 40 hour weekly OT. Note: 1 ‘unpaid’ hours – ‘NP-Co Schd DownTime’ pay code is included in the OT weekly

calculation. Saturday hours are guaranteed OT*, (even if the 40 weekly hours have not been met). Sunday hours are guaranteed DT* (Double-time), (even if the 40 weekly hours have not been

met). * Guarantee OT/DT applies to manufacturing hourly employees ONLY!

Note: The above OT/DT guarantee apply ONLY if the Saturday and Sunday work hours are NOT a part of the employee’s ‘normal’ work week schedule.

Jury Duty pay Hourly employees will get paid 80 hours per calendar year for Jury pay. After 80 hours of pay,

the employee will be paid the difference of what the court pays and the employee’s daily pay. Military Reserve Training

Hourly employees will get paid 10 days of Military Reserve Training each year.
