Maybe one day it was perfect
Maybe one day it was green
But it is getting worse
Everyday
Every month
Every year
The air we breathe is polluted
The water we drink is too
The ice caps are melting and most think its global warming
Others disagree, they say there is none
so people will ask, “what about the changes in weather.”
and they will answer, “it is only cyclical, weather patterns have always changed.”
They cannot deny the overpopulation or the overfishing too
They cannot deny waste, pollution, or diminishing resources too
That is what we all agree, we need to do something different
Not just say it, but designate everyone jobs
Jobs for everyone, not just the rich and not just the poor
We agree, carbon emissions need to be reduced
We all need energy, to power our economy
we agree to it, but there’s always one question
how do we produce energy and not cause pollution?
Increase efficiency, we all agree is the answer
So let us stand up and act out
Let us reduce WasteLet us reuse what we can
Let use reduce, reuse, and recyclyeFrom fruit skins, let us make compost
Let all of us use handmade bags instead of plastic ones
And follow thisPaper cups and tin, use a recycle bin
it works!No need to grin
We can support green sources too
We can start at the beginning
And have the world plant trees
To preserve our environment
Because once destroyed
there is no going back
There is no other place to go
So let us all be responsible
Let us all be green
