The MoRoS combines a modem, a router and a 4-port switch. The
dial-in and dial-out function enables the remote maintenance and
operation of devices in an Ethernet network. The integrated 4-port
switch allows a direct connection for up to four network
devices.
All versions include firewall, VPN and redundancy. The LAN PRO
version is also a LAN to LAN router with integrated firewall and
VPN server and client.

GPRS is a packet oriented data transfer system that utilises the
GSM (mobile phone network) and offers substantial benefits for
industrial applications. It is a “Permanently On” system which
charges by the amount of data transferred not the length of time
that you are connected. Data transfer speeds are up to 85kbps
(upload and download).
GPRS 5.0 Serial The device offers a serial interface (RS232) to the
application, just like a conventional modem. Serial data is routed
transparently through the GPRS network. The modem can establish a
connection as callback after a call or an SMS. This also enables
connections from the Internet to mobile phone.
GPRS 5.0 Ethernet The GPRS 5.0 Ethernet is a GPRS Ethernet router
with NAT which enables a single Ethernet device or an entire LAN to
be connected locally.

Remote applications can be controlled over the GSM network
measurements and alarms can be transmitted without fixed network
access. The GSM adaptor appears like a common modem to the
application. Available with 2 digital inputs and 2 digitals outputs
or 4 digital inputs. Also available in alternative “compact “
housing. Can be supplied as “kits” for use with Siemens Logo or

Modems for Small PLC Small PLC’s offer a low-cost start for simple
control tasks. INSYS supports the two most common small PLC systems
SIEMENS LOGO!™ and Moeller easy™ with modified versions of the GSM
modem INSYS GSM 4.3.
These modems include protocols to extend the communication
capability of these small PLC’s to incude remote connections via
SMS. Data (inputs, outputs, markers) may be completely controlled
by INSYS GSM modems - in case of changes or overflows, autonomous

The slim-line INSYS GSM small and INSYS GPRS small are designed for
industrial applications. By building up data connections to
GSM-devices, analog Modems as well as to ISDN terminal adaptors,
these modems provide remote access connections, precluding the need
to make unnecessary site visits.

The GPRS small offers access to the mobile data network. The serial
interface (RS 232) and the antenna plug is mounted on the front of
the housing. The SIM card holder is at the bottom of the device. As
it is a dual-band-GSM device it will be applicable in all countries
with a 900/1.800 MHz-GSM network.

WLAN series provide wireless connection in a local area network
(LAN) or to other WLAN devices. WLAN serial and WLAN bridge are
data communication devices for industrial applications on DIN rail
for use in the cabinet. They transfer data in the wireless LAN
according to standard IEEE 802.11b/g with up to 54Mbit/s. WLAN
connections are established to access points (infrastructure mode)
as well as adhoc networks. The radio network is accessed by a main
antenna. Antenna connectors are reverse SMA. The radio connection
is secured by WEP or WPA. Various gained Antennas are
available.

The Ethernet 5.1 integrates any application easily into a local
area network (LAN). This serial Ethernet gateway can be connected
to any device in the LAN or the internet. A virtual COM port driver
is available for applications that do not process TCP/IP data from

network access where ever required. MLR are high speed routers for
2nd and 3rd generation cellular networks, including services for up
to 3.6 Mbit/s. Up to 4 network devices connect directly to MLR for

The i-modules are a range of modules in various compatible types of
pins and sizes, suitable for integration in customer applications
such as payment terminals, inverters for solar panels, control
systems, surveillance units, data loggers, entry checks and many
more. The device’s developers can concentrate on their central
purpose and provide a universal port to access all relevant means
of communication.

INSYS offers all integrators the possibility to connect their
application to the internet via existing wired phone
infrastructures with the new and compact Quick Line Modules.ADSL
offers significantly higher data rates than usual modem or ISDN
connections with up to 25 Mbps.
The embedded ADSL module is very widely used and low-priced in the
meantime. The form factor and the industrial design are intended to
integrate the Quick Line Modules into own applications, network
devices or routers. New applications with video transmissions for
example are also possible now due to the higher bandwidth of
ADSL.

Industrial GSM/GPRS device antennas usually have an FME(f)
connection and integrated cable. The antenna must suitable for GSM
frequency standards of each area of operation (900/1800 MHz in
Europe, in the US also 850/1900 MHz).
For industrial WLAN devices usually antennas with a reverse SMA
connection are used. The antennas must be tuned to the WLAN band
(2.4 GHz) used.
