THE INTEGRATE BAR WAS TRANSFORMED INTO A LIVE ARCHITECTURAL CONNECTIVITY CASE STUDY, DESIGNED BY ARCHITECT MATT REYNOLDS OF POPULOUS AND SUPPORTED BY RUTLEDGE SOLUTIONS.

This environment showcased AV technologies, networks and visual displays from leading solution providers and demonstrated their practical application in spaces within the entertainment and hospitality industry.

The brief was to deliver a pop-up bar that integrates AV technology in a unique space, while lending itself as a collaborative working and networking environment, capable of supporting presentations, host informal meetings and social events.

Designed by Matt Reynolds from Populous, the concept was born from the need for a space for respite from the frenetic energy on the exhibition show floor. Overhead monitors display images to denote a sense of peace. A communal and inviting space allows visitors to stop and recharge, while networking in the collaborative meeting space.

RECOGNISING THE CONVERGENCE BETWEEN AV AND IT, INTEGRATE LAUNCHED THE FUTURE TREND TALKS SEMINAR SERIES IN 2014. WE WORKED WITH THREE PARTNER ASSOCIATIONS TO DEVELOP AN IN-DEPTH PROGRAM EACH DAY THAT EXPLORED KEY EMERGING TRENDS AROUND UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS, CONVERGED BUILDING AND DIGITAL SIGNAGE TECHNOLOGY.

Three sessions ran each day, comprising a morning international keynote followed by two supplementary sessions. Over the three days, more than 1,200 sessions were booked.

In partnership with the IMCCA, the first day’s program focussed on Unified Communications Talks, and featured sessions from Dimension Data, Acano, Pexip, Samsung and more.

Day 2’s Smart Building Talks were presented in partnership with the KNX Association. Chief Technical Officer of the KNX Association, Joost Demarest delivered an engaging keynote, and participated in a panel discussion that debated world class technologies in Australian smart buildlings.

Digital Screenmedia Association were the partners for Day 3’s Digital Signage Talks, which brought to life the complete network, aiding attendees in understanding how suppliers and brands work together to create an engaging network that draws consumers in.

Following on from the success of Future Trend Talks this year, in 2015 the series will continue to be further developed.

FUTURE TREND TALKS

“ We decided to exhibit at Integrate because it is one of the best and largest shows for integrators in Australia, and we had some core products that we wanted to show to that audience, so it was a no brainer for us. Our target audience is predominantly integrators with a mix of end users, and both have been here in abundance.” Mathew Alexander Product Marketing Manager – Broadcast Business Systems, Panasonic

FEEDBACK FROM INTEGRATE

“ We’ve been very impressed with the visitors coming to the stand… it’s really hit the mark in terms of the target market. We just wouldn’t have gotten the same outreach if we didn’t do the show.” Gino Severin National Manager – Printer & ICT Channel, Ricoh

“ Integrate is the quintessential show for the AV industry… it now attracts such a broad range of the industry that it’s a great return on our investment. For us it’s THE SHOW within the industry, and it’s really broadening to encompass the end users as well as the trades themselves. We don’t exhibit at any other show.” Graham Barrett Technology Director – Australia & New Zealand, AMX

“ We’re in a business that is changing and evolving all the time, so it’s great to be able to come to an event like this and find out what’s new and keep learning.” Rob Muir General Manager, East Coast Audio Visual
