Overview Intellectual Output 4 (IO4) aims at establishing and sustaining a Community of Practice (CoP) around
INTELed. As part of this output a social group was initially developed and launched, leveraging the
affordances social media to facilitate communication and collaboration among SEN teachers and
other interested stakeholders. Subsequently, a platform hosting the INTELed educational
presentations, digital learning applications, educational materials and lesson plans was developed
and connected to the INTELed social group. Both the INTELed social group and platform, composed
the integral parts composing the INTELed CoP and were open up to the public for engaging as many
interested stakeholders as possible. Finally, a sustainability plan was developed to ensure the roll
out and sustainability of the CoP.
IO4 is composed of four Tasks (T), as follows:
• IO4-T1. Creation of a database of the key audience.
• IO4-T2. Creation of a community platform.
• IO4-T3. Launching – Rolling out the community.
• IO4-T4. Establishment of a sustainability plan.
In the following report, each of these four tasks be presented on its own – all of the four tasks
contribute to the goals of IO4, which are the development, establishment and sustainability of a
Community of Practice (CoP) around INTELed.

Executive Summary
This document presents the partners’ efforts for the creation of a database of the key audience, to
populate the INTELed CoP. The process that was followed to develop the database was the
following:
- Each partner has initially worked separately on the development of a database including the
main candidate stakeholders, which would be invited to join the INTELed CoP, after its
development
- The separate databases created by the partners were merged and unified in a whole
database representing the “Database of the INTELed key audience”
As part of this report we will present the efforts of the partners towards the creation of the
database.

1. Introduction
The key audience for INTELed is naturally the SEN teachers. Their interest is important as well as
their ability to accept and take ownership of practices promoted through ICT multi-sensory
educational resources and tools and assessment techniques. As such, as part of the “Database of
the INTELed key audience”, we have primarily targeted to include mainly primary education schools
and teachers. In the same spirit, we have also aimed at including local professional teacher
associations such as the pedagogical institutes.
Finally, we have also focused on additional key audience, such as the scientists’ community,
representatives from SEN industry (e.g., assistive technology), and policy makers from the Ministry
of Education. These were obviously another important group as they set the teacher accountability
boundaries, through the intentions of the curriculum, external examination goals, or the setting of
standards for the teaching in schools.
Overall, it was expected that getting them to engage in a CoP around INTELed and changing their
views on teacher training and practice would greatly enhance SEN education.
What follows in the next section, is the local database of the key audience, which was created at
each partner-country, whereas in the last section, we present the final database derived from the
compilation of all the four partners’ local databases.
2. The local databases of the INTELed key audience
2.1. The Cyprus local database The Cyprus local database was prepared by the Cyprus University of Technology (P1-CUT). It was
finalized on June 2018 and included a total of 90 contacts (Table 1). In particular, it included 79
mainstream primary schools with special units supporting inclusive education, and a total of 9
special education schools for SEN students dealing with more heavy disabilities. It also included links
to the main policy-makers organizations (i.e. Ministry of Education and Culture, Pedagogical
Institute of Cyprus).

3. The final database of the INTELed key audience
The final database derived from the compilation of all the four partners’ local databases. Overall, the final database included a total of 222 contacts.
As presented in Figure 1, in the final database there were 90 contacts from Cyprus, 37 contacts from Greece, 51 contacts from Italy and 44 from Spain.
