The Advising Report Proposes Courses to Take Next Semester
The recommended courses have all their
prerequisites satisfied! Consider taking them in
the next, usually fall, semester.
Copy the recommended courses from the report window to the “Notes” window, and then compare them with those listed in the ISP for the semester of interest. Always select
major –specific courses first, for the intended semester, before adding
courses from other semesters.
Intelligent Study Plan (ISP)
These are not courses you must take next semester, rather
these are courses you may take next semester
Checkmark the Recommended Courses
Checkmark and enter semester and year of each recommended course planned to be taken next
semester, usually fall.
This is needed to inform the ISP that these courses are already planned.
Upon generating the next advising report, the ISP will then take these courses to be completed
successfully and hence recommend a different set of courses to take next, which may very well
depend on these current courses as prerequisites.

Generate and Send your Advisor a Final Advising Report for this SessionThis ISP also generates an e-mail report for your advisor. Please check
the contents and add any further information you wish to communicate to your advisor.
The computer in which you are generating these advising reports should have Microsoft Outlook (for Windows) or Mail (for MAC)
already set up and open.
If for any reason this e-mail report is not generated in the computer you’re using, simply e-mail your completed ISP to your advisor with a message of your own. In this case, make sure to put “ISP Notification
from” and your full name in the subject line.
Upon receiving an e-mail report from you, your advisor will promptly review your ISP and swiftly reply to you with either an advising hold
release or a request for further information or a meeting.
