What is IntelliSTEM? IntelliSTEM is an intelligent tool designed to help the agriculture

producers to make their business more efficient and profitable.

It is an IoT device (Internet of Things), that measure and

process parameters from the plants environment and inform

about the growing status, last supply of water & fertilizer, next

steps to do, etc. IntelliSTEM solution could cut off production

costs for 30-60%.

IntelliSTEM is an intelligent probe for monitoring

of, Soil Moisture profile at multi-depth levels (at least at

the soil surface and plant’s root). Other features include:

Temperature of Soil and Air; Humidity and Pressure of Air,

Lighting in surrounding area,

NFC tags data reading/writing,

Long battery lifespan, 5-6 years,

Water-proof housing (includes sensors, wireless MCU & Batt.)

Rugged, lightweight, easy to operate,

Supports IoT connectivity standards (6LoWPAN,

Bluetooth, WiFi), and 2G/3G/4g Mobile networks

And what it can be used for?

1-st, to build an Intelligent Irrigation system,

Very high precision water supply; Having data about soil moisture profile at more depth

levels will enable the irrigation system to control the water supply far more precisely. This avoids excessive

irrigation, which may cause water leaking and fertilizer leaching from the soil or substrate, as well as development

of pests and fungi.

Natural PGR (Plant Grow Regulation) Management Using precise management of water quantity supply in

regards to the plant’s growing phase could avoid usage of chemical PGRs products, which is prerequisite for

successful organic production.

different depth levels; Time for water penetration depending on the type of soil, Terrain configuration,

Weather conditions (temperature of the soil and air, humidity and pressure of the air), area Location, Lighting intensity, Diseases, Date and Time;

The Knowledgebase build on historical data

could help the agribusiness owners to make right decisions at right time and find own

ways to maximize the benefits, by refining their growing practices for increases in yield

and quality, and disease reduction.

3-rd but not the last one, Automation of work processes

The Probe can read/write data to/from NFC

tags and NFC enabled smart mobile devices by bringing them close to the probe

Usage of NFC tags could significantly automate the management of the growing processes. NFC tags may store useful data important for

the irrigation system, and for decision making by the staff during fulfilling their tasks.

Data like, type of plant, plant growing phase, Type and quantity of fertilizer and water needed, time of last supply of water and

fertilizer, location in the open area or greenhouse, and other specific data that may

significantly improve the production and be of great help for the staff.

This could be helpful for greenhouses with

large diversity of plants located in the same area.
