The University of Findlay’s IELP offers innovative programs, designed to increase English proficiency, to assist with adjustment to life in the United States and to facilitate academic success. The IELP is an academic department designed to strengthen students’ English skills prior to students entering their undergraduate or graduate programs. Successful completion of the IELP waives the TOEFL or IELTS requirement for admission at UF. The IELP offers four levels of instruction. Each level includes courses in composition, communica- tion, listening, grammar and reading. Basic Beginning Intermediate Advanced Placement into the IELP is determined through an ACCUPLACER ESL exam proctored during orientation. With a low student-to-faculty ratio, UF’s dedicated and experienced full-time faculty members work individually with students. INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM (IELP) &UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
Undergraduate ProgramThe University of Findlay offers nearly 60 under-graduate bachelor’s degree programs and many fun on-campus activities.
Students who have a TOEFL score of 500 or higher, an IBT of 61 or an IELTS score of 6 and a 2.0 GPA may apply for direct admission into the undergraduate program. Other students may be eligible for condi-tional admission through the IELP.
All students who are accepted into the undergradu-ate program are eligible for an International Scholar Award, valued at $8,000 per year. This award is not applied to summer sessions or the IELP.
