Intention of the Week: I am in charge of how I feel.

Core Competency Focus of the Week: I can solve

Classroom Holiday Door Decorating Challenge We are celebrating the holiday season in different ways this year. Our classrooms will be decorating their doors this week. We will be sharing images of these creations next week.

Communicating Student Learning- Term 1 Report Cards

The Student-Teacher-Family Conferences in November provided valuable feedback on student learning. First Term Report Cards will include performance indicators for subject areas and will capture the student’s learning goals that were created at the conferences. These reports will be published on Friday, December 11th. Families will receive an email once reports are available to view on MyEdBC.

Physical Distancing on the school-grounds Today there was a separate communication regarding maintaining physical distancing on school grounds. We are asking that everyone in our community models safe behaviours by not gathering in groups or lingering on school grounds. Please ensure you read the supplemental email sent out.

Lost and Found We have taken photos of the lost and found; please follow the link: Lost and Found items to view. Please let your child know if you see something of theirs so they can pick it up at school this week. Any items left will be donated to charity after December 18th.

North Vancouver Recreation and Culture

North Vancouver Recreation and Culture is offering a Winter 2021 after school club for student in Grade 1-7; please see the attached flyer for more information.

PALS Communication

PURDY’S

If you ordered Purdy’s Chocolates, a reminder that orders will be available for pick up on Wednesday Dec 9th

from 12-6pm at a house 1 block from Larson School. This is to reduce congestion at the school and ensure

social distancing. Specific pick-up instructions will be emailed shortly to those who placed orders.

PALS and Class Rep Communication - Please Complete as soon as possible

PALS uses the website Munchalunch to manage parent contact information and to communicate through PALS

and your Class Rep.

In order to stay well informed, please update your Munchalunch account, including your child’s Grade and

Division. This is necessary even if your contact information hasn’t changed from last year.

Your email address will NOT be published, but will be used only to dispatch information through PALS and

your Class Rep.

Steps to update and/or register:

1. Go to Munchalunch, http://munchalunch.com/schools/larson/.

2. Login if you have an existing account or click on Register to open an account.

3. Once you are in the system go to "My Family" in the drop-down menu bar and click on "My Directory

Info" and click on ‘Directory’ (orange button).

4. Choose to Opt In to receive messages from your PALS and Class Rep.

5. Choose if you wish to participate in the School Directory (only enter information that you wish to have

published)

6. If you are new to Larson, please check the box.

Crossing Guard Volunteers needed

This program provides an important service for families at Larson

Elementary School. We are asking for two parent volunteer helpers every

morning and afternoon to help traffic flow smoothly in order to keep our

streets safe for our students and families. Please see the attached

document for more information.
