“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need.” Hebrews 4:16
Please share both your praises for answered prayers and prayer requests with the members of Mt. Horeb. Fill out the form found below and either place it in the
offering plate or bring it to the Church Office. Then your Mt. Horeb family will be able to join with you in both thanking God for what He is doing in your life, and in

REVEAL A GIFT IS ON THE WAY Matthew 1: 18-23 (NIV)
During these days of December we prepare to celebrate the greatest ________ in the history of the world. In verse 21 we read, “You are to name him __________for he will save his people from their sins.” His name means literally “Jehovah is __________________.” Jesus was the only baby in history born for the purpose of __________. Satan knows that if we don’t see ourselves as _______________ we will have little need of a Savior. The angel told Joseph that Jesus would have a title. That title is ______________ which means “God is with us.” Since Jesus really experienced our humanness, he ______________ us thoroughly. But Jesus was not only fully human; he was also fully ___________. While God loves all persons, he tilts toward the least, the lost, the ________, and the _______________. If we are going to tilt as God tilts, that will influence some of the Christmas ________ we give this year. Here are some suggestions of gifts that express the love of Jesus, Immanuel: 1. Invite someone who lives alone to share a meal at your house. 2. Forgive someone so that a grudge is banished. 3. Write a thank-you note to a former teacher or coach or pastor. 4. Pray for the political leader that you most dislike. 5. Visit someone in a nursing home. 6. Spend a couple of hours ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. 7. Pick out a person in your workplace whom you dislike; do something kind for
him or her, anonymously. 8. Contact a shut-in and offer to transport him or her to a Christmas Eve worship
service. 9. If you know someone who is caring for an Alzheimer patient, offer to sit with
the patient for an afternoon so the care-giver can have a break. 10. Write a note to someone on military duty overseas.
