We’re seeking an Interior Designer to be an integral part of our studio team. This is a great opportunity to join a global architectural and urbanism practice based in Mancheter with ambitious growth plans for the future.

In the practice’s 60 year history, we have built a strong reputation across numerous sectors including residential, education, workplace, retail, mixed use, hospitality and masterplanning. Every day, our designers apply their creativity, commercial acumen and sector insight to produce designers that meet the aspirations of our clients and create a strong sense of place.

We currently have a vacancy for an intermediate level Interior Designer in our Manchester studio with exceptional design skills. You must be able to lead other architects, designers and technicians through the design process in order to deliver award winning world class projects. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communications skills enabling them to both inspire and engage clients about a creative concept whilst also having the ability to co-ordinate and drive forward technical delivery.

We are seeking a proactive, collaborative individual who is keen to work in a design focused team with the following qualifications and experience:

• 5+ years post degree qualification experience.• Interest in creating and delivering high quality environments for a variety

of clients across UK and Europe.• Ideally, the candidate would be passionate about creating spaces with a

clear identity and strong story-telling qualities.

• Experience with briefing, design and construction phases.• Experience coordinating design with other consultants.

Creating innovative designsBy adopting a rigorous and robust design process we ensure that a clear vision is embedded in every project. Working together we create defendable design narratives, which streamline and expedite the planning process and produce finished places with a ‘must have’ quality which maximises their value for our clients and local communities.

We believe by optimising both ‘human centric’ design through the art of hand sketching and digital computer design we can deliver the best solutions to our clients from creative concept through to technical delivery.

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate these key skills:

• Excellent hand sketching skills to develop concepts and communicate ideas to clients.

• Knowledge of finishes, materials, packages, details and furniture for retail interior environments.

• Experience in design software including SketchUp, Revit, Auto-Cad and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.• Familiarity with building regulations and UK construction standards but with a

strong emphasis on RIBA stage 1-4.

• Experienced in producing design reports and presentations.• Ability to brief external agencies on the production of good quality CGIs and 3D

assets.
