At Interlake, our long-term goals are:
• All 9th grade students earn 7 credits (i.e. pass all their classes).
• All students in Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 receive a C or higher.

Interlake High School HIGH QUALITY INSTRUCTION
To support student growth and achievement, our school community will
meet the academic and non-academic needs in the following ways: • Implementation of math discourse strategies
• Use of assessment data to provide direction for additional interventions
• Support for staff to develop, practice and modify, as warranted, differentiation strategies to allow for 1:1 or small
group instruction and/or interventions within the classroom.
AND
• Interlake has adopted the Critical Friends Group (CFG) model of Professional Learning Communities (PLC). In its second year of implementation, CFGs meet monthly to examine problems of practice in instruction and issues of equity and inclusion.• Groups have chosen one of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Approaches to Teaching as a focus:
Differentiation, Student Collaboration, or Assessment• Equity and Inclusion focus for 2018-19 school year is Implicit Bias

• Each student at Interlake will develop a sense
of belonging to the Interlake community, as measured by Panorama student perception

To support the emotional and physical well-being of all students, and affirm their sense of identity and belonging, our school community will:
• Teach common lessons related to Social Emotional Learning Standards and Prohibition of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB), plus three pro-social common lessons delivered by all teachers.
• Ignite intentional and deliberate engagement with student groups in varied formats.• Scheduled check-in meetings and administrator contact with student clubs (GOVAA, SOAR, MSA, etc.).
• “Parade of Nations.”

AREAS OF FOCUS
At Interlake, our long-term goals are:
Interlake’s School Leadership (Equity and Inclusion team) will consistently operate as a high functioning team, demonstrating level 3 implementation (sustaining) on the Fidelity Integrity Assessment (FIA).
SWIFT Fidelity Integrity Assessment (FIA) 1.1, Fall 2018:
Interlake was at level 2 (implementation) this fall.
Interlake’s School Leadership (Equity and Inclusion team) meets twice each month.
Representation on the team includes administrators, educators representing general education, special education and other student services.
The team reviews school-wide student data and leads/coordinates the work of other teams and committees to ensure ongoing progress toward goal accomplishment.
To support Interlake’s team’s structures and processes, our EI Team will:
• Continue to grow through successful completion of Team Development and Communication Structures of Readiness and Foundation
• Provide feedback on CFG professional learning around equity and inclusion to promote ongoing effectiveness and success.
Interlake High School CULTURE AND CLIMATE
To support Interlake’s team’s structures and processes, our school community will focus on re-developing Interlake’s Vision and Mission, aligned to the district’s new strategic plan:
• EI team will review and understand the history behind development of Interlake’s Core Values of Integrity, Humanity and Scholarship, adopted in 2005.
• EI team will review and understand the history behind development of Interlake’s Core Values, which included staff and community input and engagement, and were aligned to the IB Learner Profile, revisited in 2013.
• EI Team will undertake re-creation of a vision and mission specifically for Interlake High School, developed with all stakeholders, to support the evolution of our culture and climate.
• EI team will continue current engagement of constituencies to design and adopt a new logo for Interlake High School.
