Our logistics centre takes up an areaof 70 thousand sq metres. It is one ofthe jewels in the Pordenone platform’s crown and boasts 30 thousand sq metres of warehousing space with low- andhigh-intensity goods storage.

The Freight Village is home to leading national and international express couriers, carriers and logistics providers. They have access to an extensive range of warehouses that can be customized, catering for both road-to-road and road-to-rail requirements. In addition, warehouses can be used for non-food businesses or can be suitably fi tted out to meet cold chain logistics requirements. They are fl exible enough that each customer can tailor the space to meet their individual operating needs.

Warehouses have a height clearance of between 6 and 9 metres and feature advanced building services. Each sector of the building has a large yard to improve goods handling and optimize material loading and unloading factors.

The goods yard, based on European standards, comprises 7 fans of sidings, 3 of which are electrifi ed with 800 metre-long tracks, while the other 4 fans of loading sidings are 750 metres

and 700 metres long. Capacity, therefore, is 8-10 trains/day and 34 thousand ITUs/year (approx. 24 thousand 200 wagons). The platform is designed for piggyback (ROLA) trains, while one fan of sidings is designated for the use of the gantry crane. Short- and long-term ITUs can be storedin the rail-connected warehouses (40 thousand sq metres). The yards are sized to accommodate all vehicle and transport unit handling operations and provide the ultimate convenience and safety.
