POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Team Leader: Electrical, the incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, optimization, improving and upgrading of all NTP electrical equipment and obtain certificates of compliance where applicable.
Form part of Technical Services Rapid Response Team as and when required by supervisor/manager.
1. Corrective Maintenance Ensure availability for standby-duty and attend to Production; Prioritize on urgent Maintenance break-down; Attend to breakdown ASAP, report and give feedback to customer and Manager
if necessary order parts; Make sure breakdowns form is filled in as per NTP-SOP-5017; and Keep adequate stock of the critical spares.
2. New Installations Ensure the CNN is available and approved; Obtain drawings from the Drawing office and obtain Certificates of compliance
from inspector/contractor; Undertake ad- hoc electrical installations (construction) as required; Obtain drawings from the Drawing Office and obtain Certificates of Compliance
from inspector/contractor; and Liaise with the Drawing Office to ensure that the drawings are updated to standard.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Technical electrical knowledge gained through qualifying as an artisan and the completion of a trade test;
Knowledge gained through the Radiation Workers course; A consistent awareness of the requirements that will ensure a safe working environment; Knowledge and understanding of quality management and the systems and processes
involved; The ability to analyse situations and to arrive at the best possible solution; The ability to apply the principles of problem solving techniques to identify and resolve a
problem in the best interest of all stakeholders;

1. Preventative Maintenance Undertake preventative maintenance according to the planned maintenance
schedule as issued by Supervisor/Manager; Fully complete documentation in terms of inspection lists and relevant SOPs; Where there is no SOP s a conventional or an RPWP must be filled; Completed documentation should be returned to the Manager and Planning
Officer; Scheduled overtime between Maintenance and Production for preventative
maintenance not done on weekly-basis; and

The ability to attend to finite detail whilst executing outputs to ensure the quality of service delivery;
The ability to operate within a soundly managed team whilst respecting the diversity of the team members;
The ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation; The ability to act and make decisions without the help or advice of other people; Able to be trusted to do what is expected or has been promised; To be trusted with confidential information form a business and personal perspective; Medically fit to work as a Radiation Worker; Work shifts as required by the business; Must be available to work on standby; and Must have own transport.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: N6 Electrical Engineering. Red Seal Electrician Trade Test. Registered as an installation electrician (code 10142). Minimum three (3) years’ relevant experience.
