BAS™ SurfaceBio Active Surface

Introduction: Implant success is dependent on the osseointegration process.Successful osseointegration of bone growth around an implant is dependent on substrate properties, including surface morphology, chemical composition and surface energy.Dentalis’s dental implant innovation was developed and tested in three essential research levels and has the advantages to enhanceimmediate and successful osseointegration. Dentalis’s new implants encompass unique and advanced implant macrotopography.Dentalis’s implant’s chemical composition is well characterized.Dentalis’s implant surface was produced with specific micron scale surface structures.Dentalis’s implants were examined and established under in vitro cell culture studies and in vivo conditions. In vitro findings have established that these specific surface structures enhanced osteoblast attachment, proliferation, differentiation, and mineralization. In vivo studies have confirmed the osteogenic effect of microstructureson Ti substrates. These surfaces improved bone to implant contact (BIC) in comparison with smooth surfaced implants, and this was correlated with greater removal torque strength. These observations suggest that Dentalis implants, inspired bybone biology, will improve your clinical performance and outcome.

Roughness analysis Dentalis Surface roughness is achieved from grit-blasting using a unique combination of the HA particles (soluble) with different size of grains. This process provide the surface itsoptimal structural roughness and enables the incorporation of biocompatibleparticles such as HA and TCP.

Determination of Ra valuesRoughness was measured with an average roughness (Ra), the most commonly used parameter for describing roughness, was calculated in microns. The rough surfaces produced by grit-blasting had irregular geometries with Ra value of 3.0 μm, which isconsidered optimal for the osseointegration process.

Biological Response - In Vitro Study Dentalis’s implant surface is the result of comprehensive scientific research. The surface characteristics of dental implants to optimize the biological response. Research on Dentalis surface examine the next properties: Alkaline phosphatase as an early marker of differentiation and reaches its highest levels as mineralization is initiated.Osteocalcin is a late marker of differentiation and increases as mineral is deposited.Prostaglandin E2 is required for osteoblast activity and prostaglandins mediate cell responseto surface structure. Most of the transforming growth factor beta-1 secreted by MG63 cells on microstructured Ti surfaces is stored in latent form, and the amount is sensitive to surface structure. These growth factors stimulate matrix synthesis and differentiation of osteoblasts and also inhibit osteoclasts.

In vivo :studies have confirmed the osteogenic effect of microstructures on Ti substrates. These surfaces improved bone to implant contact (BIC) in comparison with smooth surfacedimplants, and this was correlated with greater removal torque strength. These observations suggest that Dentalis implants, inspired by bone biology, will improve your clinical performance and outcome.

Horizontal grooves produced by micro-machining impedes epithelial down growth on titanium implants.

Micro threads provide enhanced initial stability and increases contact area to crestal bone, which will en-hance osseointegration at thecrestal bone level.

Unique grooved threads enhance bone stabilization during primary stabilization and increase the amount of bone to implant contact, which enhances osseointegration.

Self-tapping cutting threads facilitate implant placementand enhance primary stability.

Rough surface BAS™ which usescombination of resorbable blast material and mimics the surface produced by osteoclasts.Proven to induce bone in vitro and enhanceosseointegration in vivo.

Sharp threads and spiral deepening from cervical to apical region improve cutting ability with better bone to implant contact for better primary stability.

VI is a short name for Versatile because of the wide clinical range suitability of bone types, places and bone augmentation. The Vi Implant body designed with narrows conically core, while outer thread diameter of the cylinder remains almost the same, This design gives to VI the facilitating of the self-tapping property and enhance immediate stability. while the core is more tapered is condensing the bone, vertical and horizondual threads, with Dual spiral channels, MicroThreads, Platform switching and domedApex. The new Vi offer also Horizontal grooves and, Unique grooved threads.

superior advantages:Platform switching enables good adaptation of the gingival tissues to the abutment and prevents cervical bone resorption.

This design is based on the one-stage placement concept and offers a number of possible advantages:

V1 is especially design to restore with an excellent esthetic result in the mandibular central and lateralincisors or maxillary lateral, narrow implant diameters and tapered body design allow for various placement options in the esthetic zone.

With 2.9 mm implant diameter allows placement in the limited tooth spacing of themaxillary laterals and mandibular laterals / incisors.

3.7mm and 4.7 implant diameters provide additional options in all tooth locations. VOne Piece Anatomic is Multi lead threads enable faster insertion while maintain implant stability with an integrated abutment designed for one stage surgical procedures and cemented restorations.

Tissue friendliness: The surgery is performed only once, allowing the soft tissue to adapt to the implant / abut-ment interface without further manipulation.

The Minute-Threads system enhances the contact area between implant and bone Horizontal Micro-Groove grooves produced by micro-machining will impede epithelial down growth on titanium implants.

Micro and Mini Cortical Thread™ maintains the marginal bone and offers for this reason a good foundation for a long-term esthetic result.

The BAS™ surface on V1 enables more rapid formation and greater amount of bone to implant contact during healing, Dentalis Bio Solution surfaced implant result in faster and stronger osseointegration and better mainte-nance of the initial implant stability .

Indication of use Healing AbutmentThe Healing Abutment is specially designed to avoid bone grow on platform and to developing soft tissue emergence with Narrow, Regular, Wide Emergence or simple solutionsinternal system prosthetic components, by that to prepare for the specially designed bridge impression coping and remains in the jaw until soft tissue (the gums) heal. To be used as a transmucosal extraction extension secures to the implant during healing of intra-oral soft tissue following insertion of the implant to the bone or after second stage surgery. For esthetic result use appropriate Healing caps type, selected height a function of the thickness of the gums. Select the emergence profile that best suits the site being restored. The profile should match the transfer and abutment to be used Select the cuff height so that the top of the component protrudes slightly above the surrounding thickness tissue gums. The options are from 2mm to 7mm.

Placement of the Healing abutment After radiographic verification, a healing abutment screw is then placed, after uncovery two stage surgical protocol. Or in lieu of a Cover screw in a single-stage (non submerged) protocol.Prior to seating the Healing Abutment, thoroughly irrigate the inside of the implant to remove blood and other debris. An antibacterial paste may be placed on the screw portion to decrease the risk of bacterial growth within the implant body during the healing phase. Following seating, irrigate the surgical site and adapt the soft tissue in normal surgical fashion.A gingivectomy or apically positioned flap technique may be used to reduce the soft tissue thickness and to decrease sulcular depth around the implant. All Dentalis® keys are design that the tip is con to grab the healing cap for easy carry the Cover Screw onto the implant and thread it into place. Use the Hand Driver-tighten (10-15 Ncm ) with the 1.25mm- 050” Hex Driver. Dentalis implant is offering special tool for measuring the high level of the tissue for better esthetic result and wide range type of Healing abutment.Take precautions to prevent the Healing Abutment from being aspirated by the patient.Do not re-use Healing abutment.Material Titanium

Locator AbutmentDentalis Locator Attachments is intended for use with partial dentures or full overdentures with more than two implants. This attachment abutment type can increases the available opportunities for removable implant prosthetics, through it’s low vertical height profile, range of divergence, dual retention, and self-aligning ability.

This type of properties makes the Locator easy for patients to use, easily seat the overdenture without attaining accurate alignment of the attachment components. It is even possible to use them on implants with a divergence of up to 40º degrees. It also offers three options for the fabrication of a resilient attachment on an implant-supported cast alloy or milled titanium bar.

Analog & TransferFor the preparation of laboratory models. Impression Transfer (Impression copy). Hexagon Impression Transfer is made of stainless steel and available for Closed tray - round edges and short screw. Open tray - sharp edges and long screw. The function of an implant level impression is to exactly transfer to a laboratorymodel the position of the implant in relation to natural teeth or other implantsas well as the soft tissue contours. An Implant Level impression can be takes atdifferent stages during treatment and is dependent on Physician /operator preferences:At time of primary surgery – for one stage techniques, or to enable the delivery of a provisional crown at second stage surgery or at the second stage surgery.Impression Transfer closed-tray, transfer impression technique is designed to transfer the implant’s position and the soft tissue profile as well as the hex location, position, Indirect Transfers remain attached to the implants when the closed-tray impression is removed out from the mouth. The transfer hast to retrieve from the implant, mated to the related Implant Analog, and placed into its related impression hole. To fabricate a working cast containing a replica of the implant in the patient’s mouth, the impression is poured in dental stone. Implant-level open-tray, pick-up impression technique: Designed to position the transfer implant’s as well soft tissue profile and hex location, position, Direct Transfers are held firmly within the open-tray impression as it is removed from the mouth. Therefore, the central transfer screw should remove before the impression can be released out from the mouth. This transfer procedure requires a custom tray or modified stock tray with screwaccess holes in the areas occlusal to the implants. The Implant Analog is connected to the transfer embedded within the impression, then the impression is poured in dental stone to fabricate a working cast containing a replica of the implant in the patient’s mouth.Made of stainless steel.

Clip TransferThis one piece product was design to simplified the method of impression it’s intend of use is for places with a limited intermaxillary space for a driver like theback teeth where the lack of space does not allow both the screw and the driverto fit in. Suitable for closed tray method with higher precision and for parallelimplants only. The Clip impression transfer is offering a quick impression with no affixing screw. It is not required to remove or to insert the transfer as it remains in the impression throughout the process.Note: The Clip Transfer doesn’t completely replace the use of standard transfer.
