International Education and Training Partnership Plan 2016-2017
In designing the International Education and Training Strategy to Advance Queensland 2016-2026 (the Strategy) the sector told us that you wanted greater clarity in the events that were being supported by the Queensland Government and local government partners in promoting Queensland as a study destination One of the three enabling initiatives to support the Strategy roll out is the release of an annual International Education and Training (IET) Partnership Plan
The IET Partnership Plan will build on advice from the sector to inform Trade amp Investment Queenslandrsquos (TIQ) education and training annual program of marketing and promotion
The IET Partnership Plan will be co-produced with all sectors and regions with the aim to align collective marketing and promotional efforts It will include information about digital campaigns trade fairs and events cooperative marketing activities alumni events ministerial trade events and inbound familiarisation visits
The first co-produced partnership plan is due to be released in July 2017
Key activities and events ndash January to July 2017This version is a basic roadmap for key activity from January ndash July 2017 It is not yet inclusive of activity at the local level (ie the work of the various Study Clusters) For future versions the intention is to work closely with the sector to gather market intelligence to inform the plan

The Queensland International Education and Training Partnership Fund (IET Partnership Fund) is an annual fund of $12 million and managed by Trade amp Investment Queenslandrsquos (TIQ) International Education and Training Unit (IETU) It is a key enabling initiative within the Strategy designed to provide funding for eligible consortia to deliver projects that leverage greater investment for international education and training in Queensland

The first ever International Education and Training (IET) Summit will be held on 28 March 2017 The event will bring together industry and partners to help plan for future activities reflect on previous activities and projects and to work together to solve emerging issues This event will enable all sectors regions and service providers to engage with government
As one of the key projects under the Strategy the theme of the Summit is
Embracing disruption to support the growth of our sector
The theme will look at disruption in its broadest sense not just technological disruption but political social and economic Run over a full day the program will incorporate a mix of plenary and panelQampA thematic breakout events A key feature of the event will be to shine a light on Queensland case studies and approaches to international education
Attendance is limited to Queensland providerspartners through an invited registration process
Registration details and information will be available from 31st January 2017
