WHAT IF A YEAR FEELSTOO LONG?

Short-term exchanges with Australia, Germany, Spain and Denmark are offered during holidays. You do not need to speak German, Spanish or Danish to participate.

International Education Exchange Program

WHAT COSTS DO I COVER?

You cover airfare and associated travel costs. We secure the exchange and provide program support throughout the exchange process.

You require:a) an Alberta Permanent Professional

Teaching Certi�cate,

b) a permanent teaching position and

c) the approval of your school administrator and district of�ce

Plus, you must be �exible, adaptable, positive, open to other cultures, comfortable with ambiguity and, of course, a great teacher.

Type of educator

Full-time teacher (minimum 5 years of experience)

Destinations

Australia, Canada (other provinces), Denmark, Germany, United Kingdom

Year-Long Exchanges• You teach in your exchange partner’s

school and live in his or her home. In turn, your exchange partner teaches in your school and lives in your home.

• You learn about a new culture, a new educational system and, likely, something new about yourself.

Program dates• Exchanges to Australia typically

run from January to January, or July to July.

• Year-long exchanges to all other destinations start in August.
