International Forum on Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics

24 – 27 June 2013, Bristol, UK

International Forum on Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics (IFASD)

Key European conference for engineers and scientists working in the fields of aeroelasticity and structural dynamics. The forum has been running since 1981 Following on from the success of IFASD2011 held in Paris, the 2013 Forum will be held in Bristol, UK, the centre of the UK’s aerospace industry.

Previous Meetings 1981 Nuremberg, Germany 1985 Aachen, Germany 1989 Aachen, Germany 1991 Aachen, Germany 1993 Strasbourg, France 1995 Manchester, England 1997 Rome, Italy 1999 Williamsburg, USA 2001 Madrid, Spain 2003 Amsterdam, Netherlands 2005 Munich, Germany 2007 Stockholm, Sweden 2009 Seattle, USA 2011 Paris, France

IFASD2013

IFASD2013 will be organised by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), in collaboration with the Council of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). IFASD2013 will provide a comprehensive survey of the current status of research and development, and industrial practice, in the fields of Aerospace Vehicle Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics, Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimisation, and Active and Adaptive Structures. It will provide an excellent opportunity for scientists and engineers from industry, government and universities to exchange knowledge and results of current studies, and to discuss directions for future research

• Main city in west of England

• Historical background – Maritime city

• 100 miles from London

• Good transport links – 75 mins train from London
