The striking outlier here is Korea. Several more males than females were on AP. For this reason, I looked a bit more into information on Korean men on AP and paid particular attention to their outcomes.

On AP Before or After Military Service?
There are more Korean men on AP from L&S than from any other college, but this is consistent with the fact that L&S has more students overall on AP.
Korean men on AP do appear to be older than the average student on AP.
We do not have complete data on who has done military service yet, so it’s difficult to say whether that has any effect on AP. If this is information worth tracking, perhaps it could be done through the NIF.

Colleges gave students ample notice of dismissal. Most of those took action to protect their visas before the dismissal was posted to Cal Central. These students are accounted for here in the Dismissed by College section. (The next slide shows these students’ decisions.)
Some students had a sense that a dismissal was coming, and they took action on their visa records before any formal word was given – often a few weeks or a month before the end of the semester. These students are accounted for here in the groups Student transferred out before college decision and Student withdrew before college decision.
