Internship Opportunity Application Deadline: January 8, 2013 Length of Internship: 12 weeks Start Date: January 5, 2013 How to Apply: Email resume and cover letter to [email protected] Internship Location: 2800 Patterson Avenue, Suite 302, Richmond, Va. 23221 Positions Available: Two Available Role: Special Events Intern Job Description: Intern(s) will work with the Assistant Director of Development to plan and implement fund raising special events to increase public awareness and to raise funds to support the mission of Jackson-Feild Homes a residential treatment program for emotionally disturbed girls and boys in Jarratt, Virginia. Specifically the intern will help plan and implement the annual golf tournament, conduct research on managing an online charity auction, donor Thank-a-Thon and researching whether or not to host a weekly charitable bingo fund raiser in Emporia, Virginia. The intern will also assist the development staff with day-to-day fund raising tasks and responsibilities. Requirements: third-year student or higher an interest and aptitude for social media and eCommunications a desire make a positive difference in the lives of emotionally disturbed girls excellent communication and interpersonal skills reliable transportation Compensation: Mileage will be paid at a rate of 48.5ȼ per mile to and from the office Questions?
