Intertaste Positioning Statement

Our primary focus is to develop exceptional and authentic flavours based on natural ingredients for various product

applications.

We opt for deep understanding of the production chain, to offer full transparency to our customers with regard to the

purchase, processing and delivery of our herbs and spices. We buy directly from the country of origin for example,

and we work in partnership with local farmers to select the best of what is available.

Comprehensive tests are carried out to verify purity and origin (i.o.t. exclude adulteration), thereby guaranteeing

the quality of the spices and the mixes prepared from them. During processing we apply the strictest possible quality

criteria and our products are delivered with clear and complete information about the ingredients, as well as a quality

declaration.

This means we fully comply with the standards of the European Spice Association and beyond.

Case

In 2013 Intertaste was confronted with competitors

offering ground micro safe nutmeg material below cost price.

Intertaste suspected spice “adulteration”.

Intertaste initiated a benchmark study in cooperation with

RIKILT on 47 nutmeg retail samples collected from 4 different

countries in Europe .

Quote from Prof. Dr. Ulrich Nöhle

Earlier you manufactured food in order to feed hungry people and……you added some information in addition.

Tomorrow you’ll manufacture information, which you cannot eat.And if this information is transparent and sufficient for the customer and consumer…..you may deliver the food in addition.

To conclude

Transparency is the keyword for the positioning of Intertaste

Understanding the supply chain

Buying directly in origin

Verify purity and sustainability

Final processing under controlled conditions

What comes in, goes out!
